Rummer pleased you had a better day.
Being outdoors even in this weather is really good for you. Walking is the best excercise you can get - good for the soul too.
Alfie I think that Mabel will pick up with company - all of us need it.
Hope she does really soon. Sounds like you have a good plan.
Pouring down still & hail too.
Nightmare relisting on ebay - I nearly threw the whole thing. What glitches. It's taken me hours & loads of my unsold stuff vanished. I don't think they know what they are doing - all this tinkering with the site is ruinous. My nerves are in tatters.
Best off to bed now.
Night night...........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz0 -
OOOOO Aflie, what a nightmare, the thing as mabel knows she can get through the fences, and if she wants to go for a stroll, there is nothing to stop her... How old Is she now???
Rummer glad your walk has uplifted you...
Choille what a pain with the bay:mad::mad::mad: I think today is going to be a bay day for me, as I soooo need to get extra pennies in.. there isn't enough hours in the day to do everything....
We ha a leak in the caravan up the ranch, through the aircon/fan thing in the roof:mad::mad:, so hubby has just strapped heavy plastic sheeting over the top of the caravan.. don't care what it looks like:D as long as it keeps the flipping rain out...Work to live= not live to work0 -

Up early CTC, I thought I'd be the first on this morning!
Like you say, sometimes there isnt enough hours in the day to get things done
Hope you get the caravan sorted!
Choille, when Ebay goes wrong it can be a nightmare. It can get so frustrating you just want to chuck it in. If you complain you get superficial platitudes in American Speak. If only it wasnt so good at selling things. Listing day for me as well
Alf, fingers crossed for Mabel.0 -
Rhiwie.. I am waking up early and I am sleepy by about 7.30pm:cool:
I think the next 2 weeks is the time to list loads...to get the max crimbo sales...If I remember rightly, it is busy after Christmas too, but then goes quiet from the end of Jan beginning of Feb, when the credit cards bills come in..
Some books are going on Am-zon too:T
As I have said before I am working so hard to get extra pennies in, But we are only managing to actually save a tiny amount to go towards the ranch... the rest is going on general household price increases..
There is a new programme starting ( next week I think) with nigel slater (cook) and Adam Henson? ( from country file) where Adam grows/rears the food and Nigel cooks it, surely this programme would have been better shown in the spring to encourage people to grow stuff? so they can go straight out and grow stuff, where as now, people will be armchair gardening:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -
Well, client who should have left last year is leaving now.
. Happy for her. Brings my income down though.
I haven't yet advertised and I cannot decide what to do, advertise now....we could use it. But then if we don't get horses again, maybe I should just let the facilities out to one person for a Few years.DH thinks not, but it would be easier.
I think I should probably give advertising a whirl. Before or after the improvements are made to facilities I wonder?0 -

Rather wet and grey here. No fencing today. Will have to wait until tomorrow I think...0 -
I am in awe at the number of very early risers on this thread
My body works seasonally, in the summer I am up at ridiculous o'clock and in the winter I have to drag myself out of bed. Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Animal bladders are NOT seasonal.....the big dog cannot quite make eight hours. Even if she could, DH still has to get to work on a Monday morning.

Ah very true
mercifully we have animals that take care of themselves with regards to that thanks to a cat flap and the bunnies shaving a litter tray. Although it will not be long until sleeping is a distant memory and then I shall be up before all of you :rotfl: Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hey guys! Back from the Bluestone Open Prison after a week away with mum and the kids.
Outrageously exploitative prices (£4 for a pastie, £16 for a buffet meal, £8 for a kids') so good job we took all our own food.
The birds survived OH looking after them and the building is progressing - slowly. I am resigned to Winter in the caravan but if that's what it takes for the builder to complete his part of the deal.....
Cold but bright here today and I'm doing my yearly accounts (yawn).
How's Mabel, Alf? Hope she's on the mend. I kind of missed what the problem was...0
