How/Who to report DSS incompetence?

Ask for a form to appeal the sanction.
If you want to complain about the JCP, this page has the details:

Ratboy, if you think the benefits system is such rubbish, why don't the pair of you get jobs?0

Sorry we are not hung up on you using DSS instead of DWP.
In your own words you state "I am talking about social security. NOT Work and Pensions." as above. So which is it! Never ending story.
Jog on youth and ring them up for your answer. It seem's the whole world is out to get you!0 -
Ratboy, if you think the benefits system is such rubbish, why don't the pair of you get jobs?
I'm a computer engineer looking at £23k a year, plus company car, and my partner is sewing/food production, locally for £11k a year..diddle any website that provides those jobs..then let us know..
Otherwise that doesn't cover the mortgage/bills.
But we apply daily for low paid jobs; and get turned down, due to being overqualified, or not relevent to their organisation, due to excess applicants, or not being qualified to the specific job.

For a start your partner could earn more than £11k in the care sector and in most areas there are vacancies. It is not reasonable to expect to get the job you prefer in times such as now.0

Whilst I understand your frustration at the JCP not having the relevant form you need to follow the judicial process:
1. Appeal the sanction setting out the good cause for not having the form and all the steps your OH took to ensure she still met her JSA agreement. If the JCP reconsider the case and do not change the decision well then your OH can continue to tribunal.
2. Make a formal written complaint to the manager of your local JCP about the actions/inactions of the local office staff. This will trigger the complaints procedure which if ultimately does not resolve your complaint satisfactorily can then be escalated to the Independent Case Examiner (ICE).
3. If your OH wins her appeal but you have incurred overdraft charges etc or other expenses as a result of the sanction you can make a written request for a special payment for maladministration, you should give a brief overview and enclose evidence of the costs you have incurred e.g. bank statements, telephone bills etc.0 -
Ratboy...people are trying to tell you that the Department of Social Security no longer exists...It is now called the Department of Work and pensions. I never saw your 'personnel insults' to various posters, but would also like to point out HUW post regarding the letters was a helpful post if you bothered to understand what they had written. Yes we understand you have recieved 10 letters on the same day, but are they all dated the same? If not put them in date order and they may make more sense.
People on this forum are very helpful if treated with respect...0 -
I would happily take a job cleaning the streets, if the wage covered my costs. And at present they don't.0

Strangely, it does. Just. Apart from when they say they wont.0 -
I GET the whole idea that I mistakenly chose the letters DSS, rather than DWP! GET OVER IT!
I don't know what personnel insults refers to..?
I understand, and take in whatever information is posted, regardless of it being useful or not, or regarding I reply to it directly or not.
You clearly, as others have no concept of reading and understanding the information posted; because in my initial post, I quite clearly stated; "ALL THE LETTERS WERE SENT ON THE SAME DAY, (AND RECEIVED ON THE SAME DAY A FEW DAYS LATER)",
You state; Yes we understand you have recieved (sp)10 letters on the same day, but are they all dated the same? If not put them in date order and they may make more sense.
People that post in the main are treated with respect, those that make stuff up, allude to my lifestyle, or make personal attacks, for their own personal amusement, don't get treated with respect. ie YOU. You try to help, but fail to comprehend basic information already supplied, you then refer to something I have no knowledge of, without reference to it; and then continue to talk as a collective, using the term 'we', but not having the manners to actually spell your response correctly.
Benefitbaby, is halfway there; maybe speed reading? But I've already used these options.
ILW states that we could get a job in the care industry..
Well, my brother is disabled, in a wheelchair, so we do plenty caring for free.
I'm not the type for wiping a strangers bum for whatever money, but I would happily take a job cleaning the streets, if the wage covered my costs. And at present they don't. So it's not a case of refusing jobs, it's employers refusing people not suitable, because the unemployed HAVE to apply for EVERYTHING!
I've received some harsh emails back from potential employers, swearing, and abusing, because I applied twice, or didn't fit their criteria...why? I'm only doing as asked?
Also, told to pamphlet local businesses, the same distain, and look of disgust, dressed in a 3 piece business suit, hand my CV, and covering letter in, abuse! Why? 10 other people have been in the same, we ARE NOT TAKING ON!!!! GET OUT STOP BOTHERING US!!!!
With your sparkling personality and the charisma coming through in buckets on here, i'm seriously struggling to see where you may be going wrong in your search for a job.
Also why any potential employers seem to take such a dislike to you, truely baffling!!!0
