    Hi all,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Was not sure where to put this?

Last week whilst in work i had a police officer come visit me. I was very surprised so clocked out of work and met him in the reception area.

He told me that he was here to "Collect the Rug Doctor" - We borrowed a rug doctor (Capet Cleaner) last week from Morrison's and i must have forgot about it.

He told me that i MUST return it by the end of the day or he would be back to "Visit Me" he then also was asking me if I had a partner and where she was?

Perplexed and cautious that i need to get back to work i answered his questions, went home later that day, returned to the Rug Doctor and that was the end of it....

1 week later - Sitting at home and my partner whist cooking starts shaking as she can see a flash light shining through the window. I look out and its a Policeman wanting our attention to get the security code to the private gates!

She then all of a sudden opens up and explains what happened last week.

The Police officer came to our property before he visited me in work, he threatened to kick the door down and was pocking some sort of stick through the letter box to rip my mail collector off (small cardboard box i put over the letter box as the dogs chew the mail), my partner was in the shower and was rushing out and scared open the door.

The police officer asked where i was and walked through the house, asking her why she took so long to open the door (my theory is he thought i was hiding) he searched the whole house before asking where the rug doctor was.

He then was asking to see her phone. He then asked if the TV was stolen and in our room i have product boxes such as an Apple Pro Monitor and Sonos Soundbar (which i am given to test as part of my job) he took the serial numbers down encase they where stolen!!

He open cupboards door etc... all while my partner was pregnant and with a towel round her!

I feel disgusted with the Police and the way they have acted towards her and me. And i would like anyone to explain if i have any legal ground as i would like to take this as a complaint!

All over a few days late Rug Docor

    Thanks All.

I dont believe the police officer was poking some sort of stick through the letter box to rip my mail collector off, cant see why he would do this nor I dont believe he threatend to kick the door down.

Police don't kick doors down unless it's a matter of life and death, which this wasn't. They don't need to, they just use their big red keys.
I suggest the OP pops down to his local police station and explains everything to the nice desk sergeant.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

    I've been Money Tipped!
My BS detector is off the scale...

OP don't you have anything better to do than invent stories for our entertainment?

Yes thats what I was thinking
  • Police had been attempting to look through the letter box, to see if anyone was in, after failure to open door even though someone was at home - as clearly stated by OP :-

my partner was in the shower and was rushing out and scared open the door

Partner was probably scared by the cries of "POLICE", in view of the quantity of electrical equipment in the bedroom as per:-

product boxes such as an Apple Pro Monitor and Sonos Soundbar (which i am given to test as part of my job)

I also note that the OP does not state how many days they had the cleaner carpet for:-

a few days late Rug Doc(t)or

The rental is normal 24 or 48 hours - this presumably was for about 10 days after? Long enough to get it listed on eBay and hope for a sale?
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.

Yes point taken, he could have been trying to see if anyone was in and inadvertantly knocks the cardboard box over the letter bo.
  • It's alright everyone, it's just a troll. It must have been Internet Day at the asylum or something.

It's amazing what people will take at face value.

Poking a stick through the letterbox indeed.

The only people who really need a Rug Doctor are Brucie and Elton

I take it you deduce that from the version of events ?
