I already have panacur waiting for our babies!got from pets at home, think it was about 7 quid a tube.tabby managed to get outside so we watched her for five minuites then brought her back in.little monkey!
bit paranoid that they wont thrive, even though they all latch on etc but they seem to sleep loads too!!I hope they are getting enough from her.gonna book her and the babies in for a health check at vets next week, just to make sure they all ok x0 -
I use Panacur you can use paste which some think is easiest but more economic is the 10% liquid. It tells you on the box how what dose to give which ever you choose to buy. You need to do from 2 weeks of age and give over 3 consecutive days.
For the liquid I use a small 1ml syringe, dip into the bottle to suck up the right dose, then important this bit, wipe off the outside of the syringe so they can't taste it & squirt to the very back of their mouth. Have a piece of kitchen roll handy in case they spit it out. I only have recently got this to a fine art (after 10 years of practice) as before more seemed to come out than went in. My vet gave me some syringes so I don't know where you would get them from otherwise. A good alternative is the syringes that kids calpol come with but washed out.
My vet tells me Panacur is a really safe drug and has been around for ages. Best of luck.
Oh, one last thing you can order Panacur from Vet on-line pharmacies as it is a non prescription drug you don't need to visit the vets first. I use Vet Medic, Pet Drugs on-line and Viovet. There are others but make sure their drugs are sourced in the UK or are General Pharmaceutical Council registered. Some have a little green logo in the corner of their home page with a cross on it and registration number.0 -

On this occasion animedirect are cheaper at £3.52 for 5g paste syringe where as Vet UK are £4, Pet Drugs On-line are £4.35, Viovet are £3.97 and Vet Medic are £3.84 however I didn't check delivery costs.
Best to shop around especially is buying a larger amount as the saving add up.0 -

Not for the Panacur liquid they're not. Only pennies in it but still cheaper and I know Vet UK are a reliable company.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Animed are reliable company too - not sure why you think they are not?

True, I guess we all tend to stick with those we know and use regularly. I guess I'm always wary of websites selling veterinary products that I don't know as there are so many fake products on the market. I do know Vet UK is run by a team of veterinary professionals and is actually based in the UK“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
