Comments

  • OK thanks to everyone, I have now left my comment "Full refund was offered on return"

I just need to get over it and move on, hopefully will not put other buyers off !!!! If they read my other feedback - I should be OK, as they are all glowing feedback. Oh, and my stars are not affected as its a neg. So I still have 5/5 on all.
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

 When I read their feedback - I immediately messaged them to let them know that I thought their feedback was unfair as I had already offerred a full refund on return and also asked what they would like me to do - but got no response from them at all.:mad: They chose to leave NEG Feedback with no communication at all.

Didn't know it was possible to change feedback left. Also don't know how to reply to the neg feedback. I know you can add your comment but don't know how to.

Yes it is possible but you need the agreement of the buyer when you send a Request for Feedback Revision.

I mostly buy (I'm an occasional seller) on ebay and although I check for negative feedback, I balance it out on how many sales they have.
Abusive replies to negs make a seller look a little desperate though, any half-intelligent buyer realises that things sometimes go wrong and that buyers do leave negs unfairly. It's how the seller deals with it that counts.

Forget it and move on, it won't put off sensible buyers, and you don't want any other kind! ;)

  • I have just had a look at the feedback I left the buyer - and was more than kind with the comments I left. Looking over the whole picture
Item ended - buyer did not pay until 7 DAYS LATER !!!! and I put in my feedback - FAST PAYMENT !!!!!

Can I amend this comment or will I just need to be more careful with my comments in future?

Just had my 1st negative feedback. Grrrrrr!!!!!

Listed as used (once) - but buyer thought otherwise, e-mailed and offerred full refund on return of item, asking if she would let me know what she would like to do/me to do. No answer/reply. Then days and days later Neg feedback left. What comment should I leave to her neg feedback? Grrrrr I had 100% 5/5 on all left

She was probably annoyed at you asking her to send the item back. It means going to the bother of doing that which would not be well-received advice if she thought you had misdescribed the item.

You don't have to leave any comment and doing so only makes the neg stand out more

Leaving a non-emotional, reasonable, factual and non-critical response looks a whole lot better to other buyers than just saying nothing.

Why did you say 'fast payment' when they didn't pay for 7 days?!
    No you can't amend it.

If she thought I had misdescribed the item, then should the buyer not have opened a case against me (the seller) stating that, then ebay would have to look into it and if in her favour, the buyer would have got her money back?

No, me thinks there is more to this, I feel in my bones, that this tact is tried on, on quite a few buyers either to get the item free or money off. !!!!!

It would have made sense, as then the buyer would have had their situation resolved and you may not have been left with neutral feedback. However, buyers and common sense are rarely bedfellows, as seen by some of the inane questions I get asked daily, 90% of which are answered on the lsiting page.

All but one of my non-positive feedback has come from buyers who have made no contact.

Actually I currently have 2 neutrals (one drops off soon) and neither buyer made any contact with me, nor did they respond when I tried contacting them.

The last one I posted about on here as the feedback says something like 'super seller, fast delivery excellent item- thank you' and ebay *still* refused to remove it!
