It would have made sense, as then the buyer would have had their situation resolved and you may not have been left with neutral feedback. However, buyers and common sense are rarely bedfellows, as seen by some of the inane questions I get asked daily, 90% of which are answered on the lsiting page.

All but one of my non-positive feedback has come from buyers who have made no contact.

    It was NEGATIVE FEEDBACK
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

Been left my first neutral in over 7000 feedback. Letter sized item was lost in the post between here and Australia :( Full refund given immediately.

Actually I currently have 2 neutrals (one drops off soon) and neither buyer made any contact with me, nor did they respond when I tried contacting them.

The last one I posted about on here as the feedback says something like 'super seller, fast delivery excellent item- thank you' and ebay *still* refused to remove it!

Negative Feedback left stated "not good quality" - it was a PRIMARK item NOT PRADA !!!!

If she had stated "not good condition" - that would have been untrue but more of a statement as to the condition I sold them in, but to state NEGATIVE for the buyers opinion in the quality of the item, a bit unfair IMO - they were in very good condition and quality was good, or I otherwise would not have listed them.

    Sorry - going on a bit !!!!

Apologies, a mistype. It was 6.30 in the morning in my defence.

Just leave a calm, factual response and move on. I wasn't happy with my neutral for something totally outside my control, but seeing it from my buyer's opinion, they could hardly have left a positive.

Buyers are able to leave whatever feedback and stars they like, and Ebay will just parrot that it is their opinion. It's just one of the hazards of selling.

How you resolve problems is part of the overall experience. Had you said tough luck, they'd have been justified in leaving neutral or negative feedback, but as you quickly resolved a situation out of your control, that should have counted as a positive (IMO).

Having looked back over their feedback they have left, they do like their neutrals and negatives. Just glad they opted for a neutral, mind you, they won't be buying anthing else from me ;)

Could be worth reporting them to ebay then. I once had a negative removed because the buyer overused negatives.

If she thought I had misdescribed the item, then should the buyer not have opened a case against me (the seller) stating that, then ebay would have to look into it and if in her favour, the buyer would have got her money back?

No, me thinks there is more to this, I feel in my bones, that this tact is tried on, on quite a few buyers either to get the item free or money off. !!!!!

Well... the first step is normally to contact the seller, before opening a case, and see how they respond first. She could be a p-taker though, you can usually tell by their f/back.
