Best Way To Hang Pictures?

I've just hung a whiteboard using 3M Command Strips. I bought the pack of four large pairs. They're certainly not cheap but I can't fault them. It's given me ideas to hang small mirrors and pictures against walls that I know have pipes and wires behind them - much safer and neater than drilling holes in the wall.

I paid nearly £6 for them so that's a real downside but i'm happy with them. I think it's not too bad if you've got just the odd thing you want to hang on the wall.
