Here's one for the forum...
My wife likes pictures and she makes a few cross stitch charts.
Obviously, she wants to proudly display her works, which I am happy to do.
But when I hang the pciture, it looks carp to be honest.
I have a mixture of brick and plasterboard walls, what is the best way to hang a picture frame.
Imagine a frame with no hanging thingys attached to it...pictures would be useful and links also appreciated. I have a lot of piccies to hang and want to make it right from the start.

I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

You can get sticky pads for hanging pictures these days. These for example:
Do a search for "3M Command Strips" to get an idea of what I mean.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0 -
Try some of these:

My wife recently went through a spell of buying lots of big mirrors for around the house and I got some of these for hanging them. They come with a spirit level built in and in a range of different lengths and are dead easy to put up."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
For small frame a single nail/screw is fine.
For large frames, mirrors or canvas etc i use these

I wanted to avoid drilling into the wall so the Command Strips look like a strong favourite unless anyone has any better ideas?
Also love the fact they are re-usable.
I hated drilling as creates so much damage and then have to fill in the hole and sand down then repaint - seems like picture hanging is just an !!!! in general.
The one thing I hate is the fact that they go skew wiff sometimes and I never know which fittings to use on the back for each picture. Sometimes wire, sometimes a thing that looks like an upside-down Bart Simpson haircut...IT IS SOOO CONFUSING!!0 -

If you can see the hole when the frame is up you're doing it wrong! He who laughs last, thinks slowest0 -
Unless the picture is particularly heavy, I just use an ordinary picture hook. the sort with one or two pins that you hammer into the wall. they seem to work well enough, and leave much smaller holes when you're done with them.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

But what do you attach to the picture frame/photo frame to make sure it hangs onto the hook and what would it look like?
Call me a dummy...(I give you permission)0
