dunstonh is a finance professional, Martin Lewis is a journalist. I doubt the former would need advice from the latter.
Yes but I think this needs to be examined much more closely, Martin Lewis, to be exact, is a high profile Financial Journalist, a renowned expert in this area, not just any old, now, whilst I have no reason to doubt that dunstonh is a professional of some description in all fairness, I believe that, I would, however, question the calibre of financial professional that he is, my guess is that Martin Lewis is much higher up in this field in credibility terms and authority, knowledge etc, if dunstonh and Martin were saying opposing things, my money (no pun intended) would be on Martin being the one that has it the most correct.0 -
Your post was factual and precise without being nasty unlike those three earlier, you are not the target of my anger, thank youwelshgasman wrote: »What. if anything. I'm I meant to being negative about.?
I don't understand your reply.:(0 -

Well thanks for the understanding and the warm welcome to this forum, now those I'm referring to (and you know who you are) can go fcuk yourselves! and goodnight.
You have still not explained where dunstonh states he works with Martin Lewis. Even ML could not find it. A fair view - but if you look at who actively contributes more to this board, in terms of personalised (accurate) advice as opposed to the odd general article, you would realise that dunstonh et al are invaluable and reliable resources.
I'm not sure where you have got the impression that Martin Lewis is 'a renowned expert'. He is a journalist/ a tv presenter, he is by no means an expert on financial matters - indeed he does not claim to be.0 -
If you'd read the complete thread you'd know0

I have - please point out where dunstonh claimed to work for/ with Martin Lewis?0 -
Look Dogger69 or what ever, if I had a life changing decision to make and I wanted an expert advice that truly matters to me 99.9999% go to Martin Lewis for THAT advice thank you very much. Never ever 0.00001% go to Dunstonh, Money or Taff. I f it was not for Mr Lewis, we all would not have the idea to claim anything from any inistitutions. So I thank him for standing up to these people. Surley even you can understand that.0

In his position you have to be an expert, informed to the highest level or you would be pulled up in seconds, he gives advice to the public on television and has done for years, no disrespect to dunstonh but he could say only old rubbish on here and he wouldn't have to answer for it, not that I'm saying he is giving rubbish, I'm sure a lot of what dunstonh says is technically right (albeit said with a bad manner) but I don't believe it all is, in all the years he has been doing shows and giving advice has anyone ever said 'no Martin...what you said there is wrong'??0 -

You don't seem to understand how the whole presenting thing works. It's all planned beforehand, no surprises, so actually all he needs to know is the absolute basics and the answers to any (preplanned) questions. Anyone could do it!0 -

Even factoring in the 'presenting thing' as you call it and how it works, you still have to know what you're talking about and I mean REALLY know your stuff, it's much harder going on what sometimes maybe live TV and answering questions than it is to answer them on a forum like this under a pseudo-name believe me:rotfl:.0
