    Morning everyone

Hester - good idea to email weekly, keep THEM on their toes
Halight - hope the pain/burning goes quickly, is it normal to have these pains

I'm excited, going to get a dishwasher today that is coming from a freecycler, we used to have one but it finally gave up the ghost for good and boy have I missed it, I'm still not sure what is more cost effective - hand washing or dishwasher but time wise the DW wins every time, so my morning will consist of collecting, making space, plumbing and playing :]

    Grey and wet here today

Hugs, sticks, spoons and coffee and walnut cake available to all who want or need one or more, help yourselves

    Have a nice day everyone
Projects made for craft fair - 40 :)

    Morning everyone

Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x

DH up and off to work stupid early.

Cloudy and dull start to the day here, looks like we may have had some rain in the night but not much. Blustery again but not cold, rain forecast later this afternoon.

Dinner last night was fish, chips, beans for the menfolk and mushroom omlette and salad for me - I was going to make rissotto but had a raging headache by the end of the day - due to be understaffed, overworked and not having enough time to drink enough so was dehydrated, so didn't feel up to standing stirring rissotto for ages over a hot cooker! Once I got in, I drank 1 x mug of coffee, then 3 x large lager glasses of squash and within an hour felt much better. Will remember today to drink more but am only working until lunchtime. Then I will crack on and start tackling the list of jobs at home. Dinner tonight will be lamb casserole as remembered to get the lamb out to defrost last night. Will do mash and veg with it, DS2 is making choc chip cookies at school so they will be dessert - as long as he doesn't eat them all before he gets home!

Had a telephone call from the school - DS2 starts extra support today - they rang whilst I was at work yesterday and then again last night as I was serving dinner, so I will call them back this afternoon. Just to go over the details, I would like him to have extra support in most areas of the curriculum so will see what they say!

DH managed to call in on our friend on the way past yesterday and said I'd had difficulty with one aspect of my new camera and he showed DH on his and DH came home and although cameras are the same make not the same model but we managed to figure it out from what he had told DH - so even happier now as it was bugging me that I couldn't work it out!

    Must crack on.

    Keep safe and well x

jackieO my kids, gf, bf etc often buy stuff and I think what a waste of money. Only my Dd has inherited my carefulness!
ttftm well done on the weight loss, mim back at WW tonight hopefully now my leg is on the mend I can start moving more.
    Hope I haven't missed anyone.

Fellas have gone off to college/ work. A late one last night. Dh broke down an hour away so his eldest boy had to tow him back. It was half eight when he got in then our younger son brought his car so dh could use it today and we had to take him back to his gf. It was quarter to ten when we finally sat down:eek: thank goodness we have good kids happy to help their dad.
Dh thinks its the alternator so we have our friend the mechanic coming to fix it today. Even reconditioned its £130 quid which was money we could have done with but hey ho, one step forwards two steps back. Luckily we had arranged to borrow step sons car for our hols as we didn't trust our old banger.
So today need to pack the cases and clear out the fridge, try and eat up any leftovers. We are only away for three days but even that has been a major struggle this year. I will be so glad when I'm posting saying I'm off to work.
Quick tidy around then I shall have a cuppa and my breakfast before I get stuck in.
    Happy Wednesday all J x

    Good Morning x

Many thanks for all the kind thoughts x

I am settling down after my blood transfusion - I seem to retain fluid and then 36 hours I can wee (TMI) for England. Anyhow feeling much brighter.

Hester - glad you have been able to take control of the work situation xx

Hugs for a good day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Meanmarie. The shop is called Loop. It's nice but very expensive. I am guilty of window shopping and then buying elsewhere!

Hilly. I hope they can get you in quickly. Make sure you take it easy now.

halight take it easy too! Don't rush to get off the steroids, you've been on them a while and it's really important to wean your body off them gradually.

I missed yesterday as I got caught up in other things!

I went to work yesterday and my bosses took me out for lunch :D to congratulate me on my promotion. I could get used to that! I just have to do all the HR red tape and clearance procedures and then I can start properly.

I need to start preparing my freezer and get it all full of batch cooked meals. I popped to the local Co-op yesterday and bought a stupid amount of very reduced chicken. I'm going to plan meals to cook. I'm writing my plan and then I'll look for the ingredients on offer. I'm just trying to make it as diverse as possible. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    Morning all,

Having my second coffee of the morning trying to get myself going! Have put the sheets in the wm and have made notes of jobs I wish to achieve today.

Joints ache as hubby's gift of a cold to me has set in so I expect it will take me a while to work through the list.

Thankfully, we have l/o for dinner tonight, so only need to reheat in the microwave and put some veg on.

Glad you are feeling brighter now Molly.

    Hilstep, take care.

Helen, :T on your dishwasher. I had my first one a year or so back and I now would not be without one. I always used to decline having one, but when my fibro got bad I relented and it has made such a difference. Before, I could only stand at the sink for a minute or two before having to rest and so it could take ages to do a bowl of washing up and it would make me feel so depressed.

    Must get a move on,

    Take care all.

Morning all! Creeping back in to see how everyone is doing!
DH finished chemo a few weeks back and is slowly regaining some energy. Needs colonoscopy next month just to check all is ok then nothing til next scan in October. I'm really flagging now - effort of keeping going for past 8 or so months I think.
Need to get back to OS with a vengeance as recently just haven't been bothered.... anything for a quiet life!
Missed you all, so hope to get back to posting regularly again.
    Take care.

JackieO, I love reading your posts so much. You just sound like the perfect gran, and your family are very lucky to have you! I know I don't post very often at all, but I read every day, and your posts are one of my favourites!

Halight - I know exactly what you mean about your cut hurting, mine is doing the same. Its like a stinging pain? Mine is across my neck as had a cyst removed on Friday.

HH - I, probably like many others am amazed at what you have to put up with at work. Its a total disgrace!

I am still exhausted following my op on Friday. No idea why, all I can think of is that I was under anaesthetic for quite a long time (3 hours, think there were some complications/delays but no-one has actually told me :() and that its still working its way out of my system. I'm sleeping fine though, just struggling to keep my eyes open in the day!
