got my results today about my appeal, yessssssssssssss it was allowed, not bad for some one who don't know about full stops & paragraphs??,

Well done! Was this your POPLA decision or the decision (eventually) from the PPC?

If a POPLA decision could you please copy & paste it into the POPLA decisions sticky thread at the top of the parking forum?

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4488337

Examples there show that people show the whole decision, just putting xxxx instead of names and details.

By the way, it's not ANPR. All it is, is a camera on a pole that takes a picture of a car and imprints a time on it.(Sometimes, even an accurate time) There is nothing automatic about it. The PPC send a request the DVLA to obtain the RK's name.
ANPR is a Police System which can access the DVLA database directly. People seem to think that the ANPR concept gives PPC's some legitimacy and this not so.

Er... hate to tell you something but ANPR stands for 'Automatic Number Plate Recognition'. Although the police use it, it is not a technology exclusively available to the police.

PPCs DO use ANPR for their cameras on a pole. The camera is linked to a server on the site (usually in store) which then processes the images to extract the number plate. This is automatic. It also recognises the number plate - hence ANPR.

Once the number plate is extracted from the image it's then stored in a database and the rest of the process is acted on (issue a ticket, print a DVLA lookup form etc etc).

It does not need to be linked to the DVLA to qualify as ANPR.

    Well done loveable, great result.

Any chance you could post up the transcript of the Assessor's decision including the name of the Assessor please?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

In what format do you have the assessor's decision? Is it via an email or is it a written document received in the post?
