Which begs the question - what does the 'A' in ANPR stand for? It most certainly is not an automated process where the the parking co receives the RK's details.

    MNPR anyone?

Not at all. It is the number recognition that is automated. Not what they do with the info.

Assuming that the letter you have received is entitled "Notice to Owner" and without disclosing the dates etc did you receive it within 14 days if you count the day they say you were parked as Day 0?

no, it does not say, notice to owner, just have my name & address on it & say's parking charge notice, also say's liability for this parking charge notice (pcn) lies with the driver/hirer of the vehicle, and say's parked longer than the maximum period permitted, yes I did receive it with in the time stated, but I did write back when I got it, just saying I was shopping there, may be I should have waited, but to late now,
I went back there, there was signs up, quite high really & the lettering was hard to read, stupid of me really, as I have never taken notice before, thought parking was free, just got waylaid on the day,
they say they got my details as the registered keeper from the dvla

If they have rejected your first appeal, have they given you a POPLA code?

time not up yet, ?appeal just gone in
  • Hi
yesterday i too received a parking charge notice from vcs for parking/waiting near robin hood airport. i was worried and immediately appealed via email to them. Since reading these posts maybee i have been a bit premature and maybee i should have just ignored it. Is it too late to now ignore all their future demand letters and threats of legal proceedings. Thanks guys any advice is welcome as i can really do without paying the £60/ £100
fine for what has caused the land owner nothing in loss or damages. PS i was sat with my car the whole time.
    thanks

Have they responded to your email 'appeal', or even acknowledged it?

If you've had a rejection from them, have they provided you with a POPLA verification code?

Let us know, next steps will follow.

It will be necessary to set up your own individual thread, as messages back and to on this one will end up in confusion between you and OP.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
