Valli - how awful, hope the damage wasn't too bad and that the kiddies work wasn't touched by those stupid idiots

Signing off for a while, DH is quite poorly and is at home for the foreseeable future, they have no idea what the prob is but he is on a cocktail of various meds including morphine, I cant concentrate on lists etc - too worried about him and about money - its inpaid sick leave [not telling him how worried I am, just keep saying that we'll manage but seriously doubting that we will this time]

So, farewell for now, love to all

Helen, I hope things pick up for you soon, it must be such a worry.

Hugs, spoons etc to wherever they are needed.

This week I have done some things from the list, each room has had some attention AND...dadada...I've finally sewn the curtains which have been on my list for weeks.

So the plan for today is:

    Wash up breakfast dishes
    Hoover downstairs
    Get dressed
    Walk dogs
    Go shopping with DD
Make the dog bed (has also been on list for weeks)

Gardening can wait till tomorrow when hopefully it will be drier.

    Catch you all later.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Posivibes for Helen

And hope it gets sorted quick vibes for Valli

Weather not great here, wet and windy, interspersed with a little sun. Done some reading with DS, and some more telling the time. Have gathered up a few bits for tonight (going to meet my cousins so kiddies with inlaws) and made beds.

Kiddies are bouncy so have been sent to the trampoline. Need to pop out to shops this afternoon, uniform shop for DS sweaters and somewhere for me some nightwear. Mind are all old and worn (and now too big, too:T)

Must consult list - no idea what I should be doing, but there is a pile of paperwork in the kitchen to be checked through. Some is tax credits but suspect plenty can be shredded...

    Karma to all burglars, Valli!
Get well soon vibes to Helen's DH.
Well done Jazee on the curtain sewing.
    Good morning Bossy and Dusty.

Slow start - I've fed the birds, had my tea and toast and binned a cardboard belt and a piece of sandpaper.

Think I'll wash some pots while listening to some music...hmmm radio or a CD?

    Back later

    Good morning (well, just...)

Thinking of you and sending positive vibes, helen. You know where we are if you need us.
Valli - that's awful. Hope they didn't do a lot of damage.

Not sure where the last two weeks went. I remember signing up for the thread two weeks ago and that was it. I did manage some things last weekend, but the house needs attention today before it descends into CHAOS again. I've only had a quick 5 minute look at the thread and I won't be able to catch up with all news.

I've suggested a get-together to friends from work (no date yet) and that will give me an extra incentive to get sorted.

I didn't have a great day yesterday - very sad news at work about one of our pupils who was in hospital for an operation. DS1 is apparently up to some old tricks again, so there will be a show-down when he's back from the download festival. And finally I found out that I will not be working with the same form group next year. Valid reasons, but they're a great bunch of kids and I was looking forward to seeing them through their last year. No idea yet who I'm going to get, either. All in all I was fairly miserable last night and had a very slow start this morning.

Plan for this weekend (trying to do as much as possible today):

HHC (or 2) in living room, dining room, DS2's room, bathroom, kitchen
    hoover stairs and top/bottom landing
clear stuff to leave the house out of our bedroom
    food shopping
    laundry x 5
    homework with DS2
    shower
research something for his window with DS2 (blinds?)
rummage through freezer for meal ingredients (trying to empty it over next few weeks)

First of all I need food and another cuppa. I'll update the list with what I've done before we go out shopping.
