Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thanks to Dusty for last weeks thread

Still going with the new style this week, which works on how much time and motivation you have. The idea is that even if you are really busy you don't need to fall off the wagon!

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

DD heading for a bath now so i'll give the boys a hand to get their bedroom tidy. Then i'll get the clothes ready for sports day and school bags ready. Then I can get all boys bathed, everyone feed and all kids to bed. :D

Old school was in touch on Friday looking their sheild back that DS won last year for sports day so they where told they can have it back no problem when they actually hand over all paperwork to new school ( boys now in new school 3 months and new school have contacted them so many times to get the paperwork and come to think of it they never sent DD's stuff to her school eventho they have been asked and she moved 2 years ago). I'm so glad I moved them all.

Right enough of my moaning, better get this bedroom done.

Look at nursery after school club vs school after school club - latter looks cheaper but need to balance with dropping DD off too

I'm sure there will be more to add so I'll edit here as I go... (easier to find on page 1 :rotfl:)

    I'm in - thank you Natty :A

Drawing a line under last week and starting again - lost the plot at the start of the week and didn't actually make it to work until Wednesday :o Thankfully, I have a very understanding Head (her partner suffers badly with the BD) who came into my classroom after work on Thursday and told me she was proud of me for making it in (cue more tears!!).

Still behind on loads of stuff but I'll get there - eventually! :o

I've been writing myself a list of 20 things to do each day with the aim of getting at least half done. Anything left goes onto the next day's list which then has more things added to make it back up to 20. Seems to be working so far, so I'll carry on with it for now.

CY - congrats on the walk :T

Lots of hugs needed for people - skint, Pink Fairy, and others - so help yourselves. Sorry for not remembering all the names.

Off to sort out a list and then I may need to eat!!

DD bathed and looking her toenails painted. Boys have made a good start on their bedroom but they have every storeage box broke. So far another washing basket brought up from their bedroom with all missing socks.

    *Question*
What is the best way to remove blood stains from light grey tracksuits?

OH hit his knee with an axe on Friday night when he was getting some firewood for camping. He ended up with 5 stitches and tracksuit bottoms covered in blood.

soak in COLD water with loads of salt and a bit of bio wash powder.. or liquid if you have it... don't put it in warm water as the blood basically cooks and stains forever.
