Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thanks to Natty for last weeks thread
New style this week depending on how much time and motivation you have. The idea is that even if you are really busy you don't need to fall off the wagon!
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

ETA, must remember to get something out for FIL tea on Tuesday. He is taking DS swimming (MIL gone to visit her sister) this week, so will make him something edible I think. MIL usually brings something of her own as she's following a strict slimming plan. I just usually have soup or something.Bossymoo

Good evening
I am in this week. Thanks for the lists Dusty :T
I was awol this week(again). DD2 had her birthday 'week' so it was all go here. Her 'party' with friends peaked early and ended up with us sending one of her friends home (I don't like the way she treats DD at the best of times but thumping her in the face is pushing it!!) We didn't see what happened, but we were only upstairs. DD's other friends said what happened, and they have had enough of said 'friend' as well! Her 'real' friends helped me clear up
I said they can come back any time.
DH's sister has been in hospital since Monday night. Grumbling appendix, apparently. She also has a 'mass' pushing on her bowel (I don't think they are too concerned though). She had an op on Thursday night - we thought to remove her appendix, but apparently it is still there *confused smiley* She is still in hospital, & I am not sure when she is coming out. The result of all this, and trying to get to my mum's as much as possible (she is step dad's carer & he is very demanding!) & DH having a 2nd interview in Saffron Walden (approx. 65 miles away) is that we have used about £70 of petrol in a week!
Flying wise, we have managed to clean up the house after 2 parties, & keep on top of the other dailies. All washing is up to date, & DH has been ironing. I also did 2 days at the paid stuff ( I am paid to have picnics in the park!) I have also been attempting to finish last year's accounts & complete my tax return as I think student finance want figures from me (as will tax credits no doubt). I don't usually do it until January!!
This week I must complete the student finance forms, phone tax credits & do lots of paperwork. I will also try and keep up with the lists.
hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them, esp CY0 -
Thank you for the thread, dusty. I'm in, although I'll not be posting much now that I'm back at work and certainly won't keep up with reading.
I'll try to do an hour after work, but will be busy with school stuff for most of the evening.
Have a good week, everyone. Pigpen - you've achieved so much already. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Monday - kitchen

Put away at least 5 items
sweep and mop the floor
Wipe the work surfaces
Clean the fridge including the door seals and drain hole
HHI OH's Tuesday night job

ETA Have your spies told you about my fridge then, dusty? It desperately needs doing.0 -
