Evening all, am absolutely shattered and cold...brrr!! I am seriously beginning to wonder if it is June and we haven't gone over to Australian weather...there June is winter, and this month feels like winter!!! Last night I was wrapped up in my dressing gown because I was adamant I was NOT putting the heating on low. It doesn't feel right putting it on in June..lol
Haven't done too much today as my bed was too comfy for me to get out of.. Well I did but boy I didn't want to..Plus I had fallen down the stairs on Saturday afternoon and hurt my coxix, and boy does it hurt
So I was all aches and pains..lol Actually felt like an old lady when I got out of bed..how sad is that
I did do a few bits on the list, but was really annoyed as the weather was absolutely carpe and I haven't done any washing at all. It doesn't seem right putting the airer up this time of the year..but I think I am going to have to do it tomorrow if the weather isn't any good. Oooh just checked the weather forecase thingy and it looks like it is getting warmer but it's going to rain tomorrow.. Oh well looks like the airer is going up.
Won't be around tomorrow as I am spending the day with a friend.. so I will have to do my lists on Wednesday
Hugs and love to everyone xxxx

Good evening
I am a bit late this week - thanks Natty for the lists.
We have had a busy weekend - moving my daughter back home for the summer. She was a bit emotional yesterday because she has been living in a flat with her BF for the last year. Now he has finished Uni & she still has another year, so he has gone home (to Nottingham) We loaded up the car with stuff for storage. Luckily the BF's parents had a van & had done the big stuff on Saturday. Then we loaded the car up again & came home. We had to go back today (120 mile round trip) for her flat inspection  I think I need to introduce DD1 to the ways of flyladyIt was evident (to me, DH & the lady from the agency - but not DD) that her cleaning was not up to scratch
I am surprised the lady didn't have a white glove - she was very thorough! She pointed out dust on the skirting boards, dirt on the front of kitchen cabinets, dirty sink, etc. Just general grubbiness - DD has 'spent all week cleaning' apparently!! Unfortunately, we had emptied the flat of all cleaning materials the previous day & didn't have time to do it! We did point out that the flat had been left cleaner than it was when she moved in, and she had had other problems (without a fridge for a week when she had just had a big shop delivered!), so she is going to speak to the LL & see if they can not hold back some of the deposit for cleaners. Fingers crossed she gets it all back! To be fair, it was very clean for a student flat!!
She just needs to unpack now & find a place for it all! She did clear out her wardrobe within an hour of getting home & filled 2 CS bags, 3 binbags & a bag of recycling - so that's a start.
Back home I have washed the loose covers on the sofa bed & stuck it on ebay (for a pittance - just want someone to pay me to take it away). Kitchen cleaned, dog walked, a bit of paid stuff done - and 2 new children round to meet us to start in September (after school only, but it all helps).
Posi vibes needed for DH pleasehe has been offered a job, pending references. The trouble is he quit his job at the beginning of the year and he is not sure what his reference will be like
He really needs a fresh start.
Ok - back to the flying tomorrow. I need to empty my baking cupboard as DD1 has brought home lots of stuff so I need to see what we have & what needs to be used soonest (as well as fit it all in!)
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them0 -

Hugs and get well vibes to the poorlies
Went to Mr A's and the only extras in the basket was some travel sized toothpaste & handcream for DD to take away with her next monthI nearly bought a new ironing board as mine has gone rusty and is a wide one so hopeless for doing DD's size 8/10 clothes, but decided not to and will price them up elsewhere first
More amazing than me decided not to buy something was I had enough cash on me from last weeks housekeeping to pay the bill
Rare occurrence, but it does occasionally happen :rotfl:
Tomorrow I'll have to do more ironing. I need to do DD's PE kit, but the house is so warm atm its too hot so I'll do it first thing and carry on going for at least another HHI have done loads today, but as fast as I was ironing it the stuff on the washing line was drying and being added to the pile :rotfl:
Ok here goes this week! If its gone its done or doesn't apply

I am shattered - got up at 5.15 this morning and have hardly stopped packing and clearing even more junk all day. Catching up with the thread has been just a skim through in odd moments, so just 2 messages have stuck in my mind:
Natty, I'm sorry to hear about your sore tailbone
Dusty, I'm so pleased to hear that your friend is OK
DH has packed some of the garage but left some for me. I also seem to have done all the rest of the house. He keeps stopping for a rest, when there is still so much to do! I am not amused. Yesterday I told a friend in front of DH that I could not have contemplated moving in 5 years' time. I have just said to DH, "Now I hope you understand why I couldn't have waited 5 years to move" - at least he had the grace to say "I think you're even more tired than I am!"
Am now signing off for about a week while we move and then have to wait for the BT engineer to get a phone line and broadband.
I have cleared the cutlery drawer but left a few spoons on the side, please help yourselves.
See you all next week! :wave:0 -
Oh gosh.. I think I've gone deaf.. 5 girls in bed, 1 boy in the shower.. I can hear the fan in my lappy... bliss!!!
Roundtuit... I'm most proud you released the dressing gown..
Pigpen - FAB! - I take it the new sleeping arrangements are working out ;-D
and as for Roundtuit - well done - I feel like a proud parent! :T
[QUOTE} and finally thank you all for your positive vibes re my friend, she was given the all clear this morning and we are so relieved. I'm taking her out to dinner tomorrow night as a treat to celebrate.[/QUOTE]
Great news - what a relief :TGoodintentions wrote: »Posi vibes needed for DH pleasehe has been offered a job, pending references. The trouble is he quit his job at the beginning of the year and he is not sure what his reference will be like
He really needs a fresh start.
Everything crossed for your DH, GI.
Eventually decided on what to have for tea tonight. Used the mash LO from the roast dinner yesterday and turned it into a mash topped lentil and ratatouille chilli bake thingymebob with some cumberland sausage that was going spare from OH's workplace today. All the LO veggies from yesterday's roast went into ham stock with some lentils and now have a pan of soup to go with some bread rolls for tomorrow's lunch. I actually can't remember when I last did a "proper" shop. We're getting by and not starving so I think I may continue with this "frugal cupboard" style. You certainly have to think out of the box sometimes, but it is doable and saves a fortune.
Best friend coerced me into doing a walk tonight for the challenge this weekend. "Let's do Catbells" she said. "Okay" I said. I took the dog with me. He is absolutely shattered!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catbells#Geology
This is how flipping high we went  If you scroll down you come to a picture taken from the summit of Catbells, all flippin 451m/1480 ft of it! My thighs are killing me!!!!!!!!!!
If I'm not around to fly tomorrow it is because I am unable to move.
Ionafan - good luck for your move and your new home - we'll catch up soon, no doubt.
