KKO Mobile - What to do about these scamming, fraudulent conmen.

Today I received a fourth text from 'Payforit' informing me (or rather "reminding" me) that I had subscribed to their weekly service for £4.50 a week.
Of course at the time I dismissed the texts as a scam, and presumed that this was not possible as they had no way of accessing my money.
I was wrong.
After finally giving in and looking it up online on MSE and other sites, including the Vodafone E-forum, I realised to my horror that they were GENUINELY CHARGING ME £4.50 A MONTH
I called Vodafone and at first were unhelpful. I then decided to call the number '08458341119' and their offices were apparently closed, so I couldn't converse with them. However, it gave me the option to cancel the subscription by pressing '1' and keying in my number. Of course, I assumed that this was how they began charging you. But no, it turned out it wasn't.
I logged in online and realised four weekly payments of £4.50 from KKOmobile had in fact been paid. Outraged, I called Vodafone up and they said they would remove all the charges from the bill - claiming that they have "had problems like this before".
KKO Mobile is a scam. I'm not afraid to speak the truth.
Some responses online encouraged me to go onto "PhonePayPlus" or go onto the "payforit" website. I didn't like the look of any of it; also PhonePayPlus' offices were also closed considering it was a Sunday.
So, I advise you to immediately call your mobile phone service provider to get any charges you incur from 'KKOmob' stricken off the bill immediately after replying to 64546 "STOP" in capitals.
I am yet to find out whether I will continue to be charged for this so called "service" and obviously hope that I won't be.
If anyone has or had any problems regarding this 'company' please comment on this forum and tell me about it.
Thank you.

Which is it - £4.50 week or per month (£18pm), you claim both?
If they claim the funds you will be charged - it is an automatic process. Wat are you supposedly getting for the money?0 -

It charges you £4.50 a week. I looked on my bill and it had begun charging me £4.50 every week from Sunday 12th May 2013, to today (9th June 2013). KKO supposedly gives you ringtones and apps to download from them every week, but obviously nobody ever uses the so-called "service" knowingly.
Have you had any problems with them?0 -
Hi Rory the Filmmaker,
I've come across a few of our customers who have raised similar concerns on MSE. However, to date, no one has got in touch with me to enable me to investigate things further.
If you'd like to take a closer look at this could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

OK, I will do that. I think these crooks need to be investigated and exposed for the crooks that they are.
Thanks for your response, Lee. I will do what you suggested.0 -

Hi, I noticed quite a few people had raised concerns on the KKO Mobile issue. I was also charged for it although I was sure I hadn't registered. Through this forum, I got in touch with Lee, Vodfone representative, who sorted out the issue for me and I got a refund cheque. My Special thanks to Lee who was very pro-active, kept sending me updates and followed up with the third party till the time I got a refund. A big  to Lee and Vodafone
Regards,
R0 -
Hi rajeevng,
Thanks for taking the time to update the thread to confirm that your query has been resolved.
It's always nice to be able to bring about such a positive conclusion.
Kind regards,

I have emailed Lee the Vodafone web relations company representavive, in a last ditch attempt to get a refund (already tried Vodafone customer services, phonepayplus & KKO mobile)
We did not knowingly subscribe to the KKO mobile serivces and they have admitted in a email we have never used their service, yet they have still charged us £67.50 +vat
Lets hope Vodafone start supporting their customers when they have been a victim of a scam.0 -
Hi Louise11,
Lee's currently out of the office so I'm replying on his behalf.
You should have received an automated reply with a reference number. Please update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Many thanks,
Jenny

Thanks Jenny.
I did hear back from Vodafone, to quote Matt from the Business Team "its not our job to check your bills or down to us to refund you". He did state he will give us a small token credit on our account but I was hoping for the same support others had received on this thread.
I understand it is not Vodafone that has swindled us but you would hope they would want to try and protect their customers from being defrauded.
Do you have any suggestions on how I can achieve a postive conclusion (vodafone reference EFT195 [#11700617])?
Many thanks0
