  • federal super steels, they handle well, stop well and grip well, wet or dry. they also look good with a nice tread pattern and rim protectors. a very good all round tyre, and well priced,i got a full set fitted for £200. 205/50/16.
not to be confused with the cheaper federal tyres though,it must be super steels.

I rang around and then asked Kwik fit to price match - got my two tyres down from £165 per tyre to £128 fitted, tracked and balanced. Wherever I go they have to order them in (so I know my one man band cant get them in any cheaper  ) and they will be in store tomorrow :D

I think the guy was a bit taken aback because I started off with as I was buying two then a discount would be nice :rotfl:

Not sure what you are looking for you, does she want wheels or tyres? 17.5 is a very strange size. Is the quote £130 for each tyre or for all 4?

For tyres you need the numbers off the side of the current tyres http://www.blackcircles.com/ first page shows how to read these numbers.

Ahhhh, you are right guys, they are in fact 225/45/17/w reinforced.

The best I can find right now is £50.38 each plus £10 delivery.

Do you think this is the best we could do?

    Thanks again,

Have you spoken to some local tyre suppliers, and if you get these where and how much will you be charged for fitting?

What are these tyres? Brand? There is an on going debate about twhich tyres represent good value.

Don't underestimate your main dealer. I was looking for 245/45 WR 18 Bridgestone Potenzas and my local Mazda dealer was easily the cheapest I could find.
We do a price beater too (any tyre place or dealer within 5/6miles).

    Hiya,

Thanks for your reply. This is for delivery only as her husband can fit them, the brand is Nexen.

    THanks,
