Surprised op and the more recent poster haven't taken a bit of a bashing tbh.
Bought old used cars and complaining about silly little thinks like exhaust and scratches!! Mental!

Sadly a common story in the used car industry.

Do you mean using chargeback scheme?
I am having half of the same problem as yours. I wonder how u managed to get out of this? I am doing the best I can to get some help from media. Any advice to report it to media would be much appreciated.
I have tried citizens advice - problems with a used car
I have tried using chargeback scheme, we were told to give car back and money will be ours, when we did so chargeback case is now coming as they wont be able to refund the money! are you kidding me? I now have no car and seems like I wont have the money too. I will ring trading standards tomorrow while trying the court and hearing date is set.

You've jumped on someone else's very old thread and given only half (or actually less than half) a story. It would be better for you if you started your own thread (there is a button marked "New Thread" at the top of the sub-forum page) and give all the details and then someone might be able to help. For trading standards you have to report it through Citizens Advice Bureau.
  • Didn’t have any luck with this. Some people had luck in the courts, but it takes plenty of effort. They’ve already featured on TV multiple times. How did you fare?

I wonder what the purpose of trading standards is, if this remains possible?
