But does it make any humming noise (often sounds louder at night)? That would discourage my interest.

Modern transformers don't tend to be as loud as older ones. And almost all of the old ones containing PCPs have now been replaced according to what a guy from the National Grid told me.

This one is fully enclosed (unlike some that just have a fence around them). So it is unlikely that you would ever hear any noise from it.

Just don't walk around with a large fishing rod. Or fly a bird of prey...!

Is the house itself proved less than others? Can you check previous resale prices?

If you really are worried about resale, why not give s few local estate agents (not the ones listing the house, of course) for their view? We all like the sound of our own voice...

OK, this begins to clarify, together with adjusting the contrast and brightness on the street view.

The building will house the switchgear and the transformer, so any humming from the transformer will be contained.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

    The humming would concern me.

Don't pay more for it than the others

It's fully enclosed, so there is no risk at all.

There's something similar to that where I used to live. The humming is brain-washing and, let's face it, it just ain't beautiful.

At least its enclosed less likely to get vandalised. I lived near one that was, and it went BANG in a big way one Sunday morning
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Quieter than a noisy family next door, fewer smells, big back garden. Also excellent broadband speed if that's the cable box out front. Yes, it's not the prettiest, but wouldn't put me off from that p.o.v.
