Electricity sub station

Hello,
Found just about the perfect house to buy - amazing value and a serious seller. Looking at the digimap survey maps, there is an electricity substation between this one and the house next door.
The substation does not extend as far back as the property, so on the plus side there is more garden area than the rest of the properties on the street - about 25% extra.
What are your thoughts?

Is this part of any substation or any National Grid property, or has it no connection other than being adjacent to it?0
-
As far as I can see it is just on its own - it must surely be connected to the grid, but I can't tell for sure.
Here is what it looks like.0 -
It is a straightforward 11,000 to 415V substation for providing domestic 230V supplies. I suppose you find them about 300m to 500m apart in urban locations. It is a big non issue unless your principles extend to not using electricity. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

Thanks ValHaller. I am not daft enough to be worried about it for health reasons, but unfortunatly it's what people think that matters when it comes to reselling it or when it comes to buying to start with, so I'm trying to gauge what everyone thinks of such a thing.0

My thoughts if buying next to it would be:
A) does it pose any threat/danger to my (yet to be even thought about) kids that may go into/explore the low fenced in bit - I'm guessing it wouldn't be or it would be a higher fence.is it noisy in any way
If its neither of those things I don't think it would bother me too much, it's not too much of an eyesore to be off putting if you love the house it's next to.0 -
Something else I just thought about - will any planning applications be more difficult because of this?
Say to extend the house to the side or to the back...
Anyone has experience with this?0 -
Are you sure it is a substation?
It doesn't appear to have the usual warning signs. So when you take into account what looks like a Virgin Media or BT box in front of it, then maybe it is a telephone company hub.0 -
I wouldn't entertain itBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

In terms of re sale
Someone who lives there now bought it
You like it enough to buy it
Someone else will like it enough to buy it0
