Kerb appeal is VERY important, especially in this financial climateBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -

I'm pretty sure OP is not seeking a second opinion on the aesthetics of their potential purchase.0 -

If you are selling yes, but as I pointed out before, it didn't put the current owners off, or the ones before them, or potentially the OP. I'm sure they are not the only people on the planet who would buy that house!
If the OP wants a home, that's what they need to focus on, not selling it in the future. Cross that bridge when it comes to it, I'm sure there won't be a problem!0 -
The photo is too dark to tell if there is a transformer on the plot - if you could post a google aerial view with good exposure and contrast, we might see what else is on the plot.
Typically you find- 11,000 Volt 3 phase switchgear
- 11,000V to 415V 3 phase transformer
- 415V 3 phase Distribution Pillar
Sometimes these sites are fenced and reserved from development of the estate for a future full substation but from the beginning and to this day there is just a Distribution Pillar linking to other substations some distance away
All circuits in and out will be underground cables0 -

WAIT WAIT - that small building is an electricity substation - it's not the house - just to be clear as I don't think the house is exposed in the previous photos.0 -

The OP stated in post 5 that he was seeking views about resale, resale is affected by what a property looks like and what is adjacent to itBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
Continuing on being honest - I can't afford any better - and the plain looking front is as any good as any other house in the neighboorhood

You pays your money you takes your choice, you asked for opinions, I gave mine. BTW I could see the front of the houses. Good luck with your purchase.....Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -

I think the pros of a nice home and a big garden far outweigh a little power station thingy next door. Bigger garden and less overlooked? Bonus0
