From the experiences I've heard of, house buying/selling/moving is very similar to childbirth - horrendous pain for a while but when its all over it is worth it.
It'll all come good in the end. In the meantime, there's no such thing as an easy birthMornië utulië0 -
I suppose wetting the baby's head became a tradition...
At this point I ind focusing on the end result does help....
How are others planning to celebrate?
For us a clink of glasses on our new carpet in our new home is the aim" a life we could only dream of "Dreaming is a pointless exercise if it only serves to reinforce your own limitations.

"How odd it is to pack to move to a home we are yet to have the keys to"
not odd at all, I am packing and not found a house yet
when we do finally find and move into our forever home, and trying not to sound vulgar, it will be more than the click of classes on our new floor (real wood for me not carpet)0 -
I can't wait to say goodbye to our wooden floors and hello to carpet. Also the reason behind our planned celebratory house slippers shopping
No shoes... House rule, lol.
I never expected I would be one of those people.
I also neve expected tat the house buying process would drive me crazy... From laid back to lay awake at night in four weeks lol" a life we could only dream of "Dreaming is a pointless exercise if it only serves to reinforce your own limitations.

good luck and enjoy xxx0 -
I know how you feel! We had our offer accepted 5 weeks ago now, and are still waiting for our mortgage application to be approved! Last weekend I was so stressed I ended up in a little puddle of tears on the bathroom floor
My only advice is to hang in there and remember that this is only a short period of time to endure, compared to how long you'll be in your lovely new houseAt least, that's what I keep telling myself!

If you are ever to shed tears again... Take a look at your bathroom floor and feel reassured by the thought that you will soon have a new bathroom floor to share your moments of despair with.
I oddly use the middle of stairs to sit and contemplate and the bathroom floor for emotional overload
We had our offer accepted 5 weeks ago also.

I found swearing to be a great stress reliever. In private, in the privacy of my own home. I would try to break my own record for how many swear words I could cram in a sentence Usually also containing the words 'solicitor' and 'estate agents'.
I remember we went out for a meal one night during the seemingly never-ending wait for an exchange date. At the bar was a big crowd of post-work colleagues all loudly guffawing at each others jokes. I leaned over and said to my husband "You know what they are - I'll bet they are all conveyancing solicitors, swapping stories about what lies they've told their clients this day." as another great gusty laugh broke out.0
