Hundreds of movies to watch "on demand" = whenever you want.

I'm being a bit thick too. Can't you just navigate through the sky menus and get 100s of films on demand anyway?

Through the sky menus you get some films, but not as many as "on demand". Also through the sky channels you can only start the film when they are broadcast or if you record them. On demand means you can watch them when you want.

The wireless connector is free, whether you are upgrading to movies or already have them. Ideal if your TV and Broadband router are in different rooms.
On Demand - with the correct package you can access hundreds of movies whenever you want to (movies not currently being shown on regular sky), catch up tv like BBC iplayer etc and box sets - previous episodes of programmes and entire seasons, for example The Walking Dead entire seasons 1 and 2 are currently available to watch. Content runs in line with your normal sky subscription.
You need Broadband, but from any provider for on demand to work and if you want to book skystore movies which are basically rentals and work the same as Box Office then your box has to be connected to a phone line .

    HTH :D

Sorry if I'm been a bit thick here, but what does this thing actually do?
If you're already plugged in to your router / internet - absolutely nothing.

If your box isn't plugged into your router or internet (perhaps it's in a different room or doesn't reach) then the wireless adaptor allows it to connect wirelessly.
