Didn't go Mr M as planned as DD1 has changed meal of croque monsieur to LMc sausage rolls with beans on offer in FF two for £2. So no longer need Quorn ham today, just sparkling water. I will drink herbal tea tonight for a change, as not keen on cordial.I also got the two for £1 LMc Tuscan topped fillets x 4 and some Quorn bits as don't have a FF here. So made the most of it whilst I could. Freezer is full. £8.59 spend. Ald* round the corner, so initially went in there to stock up on tuna as there's is the best quality for the price (64p ..80 odd everywhere else). Ended up with twp bags of apples, new pots, sweet and normal, mango, bananas, salad, cucumber, strawbs, mushrooms and few other bits incl eight tins of tuna. Total £25.20

Will update sig when on DD'2s netbook.*Managed to update via phone. Got £60 and a few pence left til the end of the month*
GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. One person vegan household with occasional visitors)

  • Me again! Shopping day today so a wee trip to Aldi and £86.65 later our cupboards are heaving. I had to pop to Sainsburys too for some caddy bags and leeks (Aldi had no leeks this week) so £3.24 there too. I have to say I was expecting it to come to much more today as the trolley was full to overflowing at Aldi. Only two more shopping days until pay day and nearly £150 left so things are looking good for staying on budget if I'm careful. I've updated my signature already. Just to say also, that my daughter, who's a deodorant snob and used to get through a £3.50 can of Dove just by herself every 5 days or so finally agreed to try the Aldi Lacura cotton fresh deodorant in a similar shaped can and agreed that it was just as good as Dove but at 89p a can it's a HUGE saving on my pocket. That'll save a few bob.

Peggy, probably a bit of a icky question, but is that an anti-antiperspirant deodorant? I normally use an expensive one, as i have a bit of a sweat problem :o (sorry for tmi!) but would love to find a cheaper one that works as well as the anti sweat ones that i buy.

Just thought I'd chip in - I usually get garnier or sanex sensitive and they are both antiperspirant and can usually pick up for about £1 in the supermarkets.

Went to mr s and stocked up on 16 tins of beans on offer thanks to the tip on here earlier today:). However after finding out I go into consultation for redundancy on Monday some crisps and sweeties fell in my basket too:(

Going off meal plan and will have sausage, beans and has browns for my tea as it is my comfort food of choice and I have it all in.. Resisted buying pizza and oven chips in mr s:A

My GC ends next week and I will only open one pack of four beans but not sure if I should include the cost of all four packs in this month or just 1 and carry them over until September.

Will have a think and update my total later.

Thanks DK, but i have already tried them and neither of them help. I normally buy Mitchem ( think thats the name) and even then i still have a few issues.

Well I have £22 left to last me til the end of the month. I'm not sure I'll make it on £22, as my freezer reserves are quite low now, but I'll try my best. I think I'll cook up a big batch of bean chilli and a batch of casserole, as that will last me at least a week.
  • Just went to Tesco with mil and she bought us a load of shopping. Feel like I'm somehow cheating with the gc now :undecided Because it's not a realistic idea of what I'd normally spend.

Yes it is and though my daughter won't thank me for saying this she's a bit of a sweaty Betty too and the Aldi antiperspirant does the trick and she said it was gentle and didn't make her armpits sore unlike other branded products she's tried x
