Another small weekly shop (third of the month) of around £30 brings my monthly total to £110.96 - leaving me £65 with just one weekend to go.
Just as well as it means I can get a few wee treats in for my birthdaynothing too extravagant as we're going out for dinner anyway (separate budget) but will get some Inn*cent smoothies, love the kids ones with no bits, the apple & blackcurrant - in my pre-GC days I used to buy 2 boxes a week (at £5-6 weekly ) but I gave them up ages ago so looking forward to having some.
Will also get some stuff to have a "fry up" at the weekend - inverted comments because I like my fry ups to contain roasted (NOT grilled or fried) tomatoes, mushrooms and onions, baked beans, potato scones and maybe a grilled sausage but often not - so not really a fry upa hangover from being a vegetarian so long lol.
Homemade burgers for dinner - veggie for me, turkey for OH - both from freezer, with HM coleslaw, salad and oven chips.
Edited to say - glad you liked the risotto XSpenderPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

The potato scones sound lovely. Do you have a recipe please or is it simply like potato cakes?

No shopping done over the weekend, although we did eat lunch at the pub on Saturday but not from grocery budget. Still well on track for this month, no shopping today either but will need to do have a small spend tomorrow.
Glad I signed up for this challenge as I'm definitely thinking more about how much I'm spending.

Just writing out my shopping list after checking fridge freezer and cupboards. amazed that so far this month I have only spent £20. The cooking I did last week lasted so long and I had so much food that I never did the risotto or the spanish omelette I had planned. We did have jacket potatoes in between with salad as I got a big 5kg bag of reduced spuds for 63p I've just baked a granary loaf in the BM and got all the bits of salad together and prepared it. now making potato salad to go with it. Undecided what we will have with it but probably spanish omelette or pizza. We have loads of our home grown cucumbers now and the toms are gradually ripening but only had a handful of baby ones so far. I started off with 3 tomato plants but ended up with 9 as after buying the plants/being gifted them I found them popping up in various plant pots of "other" plants! Well I had to save them so my conservatory is now a greenhouse on 2 sides! I still have lots of basil-about 8 pots so it will be pesto tomorrow. My apple trees are loaded with fruit so I will have lots to freeze later. I made some apple curd for my toast in the week from some of the fallers and have given lots of apples away. We are getting a rescue dog tomorrow and my neighbour kindly gave me a big bag of dogfood that her sons dog didn't like so that was fair exchange for apples and cucumbers!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

Tesco order was £68.57; and also AF order, which was £30.94.
Lots of store cupboard and baking ingredients, which will come in very useful but all the same i don't think i best do any more orders from AF now for a while. Maybe just before Christmas.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I have spent £8.65 at McDonalds last night and £61.18 at Tesco this morning, am so annoyed  I left my £6 off a £40 spend on the arm of the chair at home, realised when I got to the check out that I only had the money off coupons with me,
Another meal plan made for this week, it's definately getting a bit easier, but really need to think what we need.
Was so shocked at Tesco's chicken breast fillets this morning £12/kg. :eek:no way am I ever paying that, so going to the chicken factory this week where it's £4/kg or 15kg box for £50, but that would be £50 out of the shopping budget, not sure how to calculate that as the chicken would be enough for next month as well.
Still so much to learn. Making my own bread and cake this week0
