I went to Aldi yesterday with a £5 off £40 voucher and got a full weeks shopping for £43 :-) very impressed as that amount of shopping would have been about £55.....but with a takeaway on payday and DP buying beer from the expensive shop next door even though I'd asked him if he wanted me to buy some when I went shopping >:–( we've so far spend £75 this week... No more spending on food until next shopping day if I can get hold of DP's bank card and confiscate it! Lol x

    Morning everyone

Can I please go down for £450 for August, please? Many thanks!

I often go over budget, but keep on trying. :D Going back to using cash, withdrawing £50 tomorrow and watching where I shop, I've become very lazy again these last few months. Going to read back the rest of the thread and get inspired again ready for September, as our income will be reducing from then, not too much, but I need time to absorb the drop so the hols are a good time to get started.

    A xo

Morning all. Small spend today of £2.64 as we had run out of teabags and paracetemol and I then got tempted by crisps and juice. Tomorrow will have to go buy catfood though as he's on his last pouch tonight. Or I might treat him to some chicken:p. Trust us to have a cat who has a delicate tummy and who can't eat the really processed food or even the cat biscuits except one brand I have to order online that doesnt contain any rusks etc.

The wraps were successful (well sort of). The recipe I used tasted delicious and not gluten free at all (anyone who has ever had gf will know what i'm on about). The only issue I seem to be having is rolling them thin enough and moving them into a pan without them tearing :s

So this afternoon I'm off to buy some greaseproof to experiment with, I'm hoping that if I roll them on the greaseproof and then put the wrap and the greaseproof in the pan together that the heat will separate the paper from the wrap for me... fingers crossed x

My first challenge day today. Sooo looking forward to this. I have done my kitchen inventory and I have a shopping list. I am quite good at sticking to my lists so I am not worried in that respect. The only thing I do that is a bit daft is sometimes I forget to put necessary stuff off the list like milk! Things that I actually need. It is fine though, even with things like milk which I have to add (added!) I will still come in under budget (for now ;))

Hello, I have fallen off the grocery challenge wagon and need to get back on. Hopefully, we should be moving next month and need to save the pennies.

Could you put me down for £200 for August please? OH has packed lunches for work and luckily isn't too picky with what he eats. I has eldest son home on summer holidays. The 3 males in my house eat like horses and the biggest expenditure is fruit and meat.

£5.10spend between C*-*p, One St*p and locql shop. £2 for 2 on bread, £1 on milk, YS apples, 60p large bottle of peach iced tea and 3 for £1 drinks (DD2 mithering she was thirsty *rolls eyes*)
Trying my best to hold out now til Mr M opens on Mon.

Made my own version of Moroccan chickpea burgers last night but added too many cloves. I just took the ingredients off the list on Asda groceries site, so I had no idea of quantities. I may have to try looking online. As other than the overpowering taste from cloves, they were really nice.

Can't sort sig at the mo, as my laptop is playing up and sig is a mass of words now on my phone
