Made a start and Spent £43 pounds at Mr M's on Saturday and just spent £8.00 in the £ shop and £32 in Aldi, plenty of food in now. Fresh stuff should last til the weekend so hopefully not much spending this week. Will probably get a couple of bags of chicken breast from iceland as well. Good luck everyone xMarch 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000

Afternoon All
I am back at work tomorrow after two weeks off leave. That's going to be a shock to the system .
Weekly shop at Ald* today as I had my £5 off £40 voucher. Spent £36.15, will update signature.
I also have some bits and pieces spends to include totalling £21.45, includes £1 on aero mint chocolate for me.
So, £57.60 so far for August GC and stock levels good.
Right, better make good use of my last day of freedom.

Small spend of £5.51 in Mr M
Strawberries (treat for tonight to do with my chocolate fondue hehe) £2
some reduced garlic bread slices £0.85
mixed fruit and nuts (savers) £0.54
sweet seed mix £0.75
individual savers cheesecake (Monday pick me up - naughty!) £0.31
savers dairy toffees (for at work) £0.20
mushrooms £0.84
Bf is away again tomorrow until Thursday night (so only dinner on Thurs to feed him) and then again Monday - Wednesday night (so only Wednesday dinner to feed him) So I'm hoping to just buy bread and some sandwich spread (strange want for sandwich spread rather than proper meat or tuna :S) After that he's away again from the Friday and on the Thursday we will be eating out so should be a little saved there.
Once I am back from Belgium its just six days until pay day again so actually might leave doing a bigger 'stock the freezer' shop until as close to the end of the month as possible!************************************

Evening! First spend of August challenge to report, and it's quite low thankfully. Spent £22.48 today in Mr M and it mainly consisted of veggies. I'm quite pleased with that
I'll go update my signature now, and will post a mealplan for the week shortly.

Normally we go all out for our birthdays but it'll have to be a lot more modest this year due to wedding savings, so not sure what we'll do yet... I so much want to book a nice hotel for a couple of nights with OH but that is so not on the cards :rotfl:
Got some spends to update so will do that later once I've looked out all the recipes. Had a fantastic barbecue with friends last night and it didn't cost me as was given £50 to host it and then blog about it - result! Had some of the leftovers today for dinner and have more to use up
How lovely to share a birthday, we must do something special.
Those kebabs look delish, am curious how you got 50 to host the BBQ and blog about it, if you dont mind.Slimming World at target0 -
Day 6 of my NSP and 30.00 in 2nd purse, This is getting to be quite
addictive, and 4 more days will give me 50.00. I find I really want to go for this.
I have no fresh milk but dont use a lot anyway and I have 3 tins of evaporated and loads of dried, so it shouldnt be a problem.Slimming World at target0 -

Fruity chicken curry tonight - super scrumptious, and some leftovers for lunch :-)
I also had a good spending day as I went out for coffee with a friend who wanted to treat me because I finally got my degree - finishing with a distinction on my last essay (2:1 overall). So NSD for me!CC debt £2,528.65/£31,193.22 - Slowly plugging away0
