Eeerrrmm, Can anyone explain how I am over budget by 22.73 and only drew out 170.00....... Have been through all my receipts and I am totally confused.... Could it be an age thing!! I know I moved money about because I bought some bits for other people but really thought I had calculated correctly. Maths was never was my strong point! And this has confirmed it in spades! Just proves I should have used a spreadsheet. I thought I had done really well, obviously not. Think I will start afresh on August challenge using my spreadsheet and toes as well as fingers. Sorry am not sure what you are asking here re if its worth it or not.
AP have some real bargains, so yes its worth it but its only worth it if you are going to use it.
Thats exactly it. I can see they are bargains, BUT is it something i was gonna buy? Thats what i need to ask myself. So far i've registered, but not ordered. :cool:she_who_can_not_cook wrote: »Very envious i so can not get any cheap bread at the moment. I got some large baps today for 32p i also get the iceland loaves @1,50
Its VERY rare i get YS food, especially bread. Not because i won't buy it, buy because the cheap stuff usually comes out for reduction when i'm at work (i work on a night). I must have just hit on luckyI think Iceland 2 loafs for £1.50 is the best deal around in my area. Plus kids like Kingsmill 50/50 and DH and i like Kingsmill wholemeal so its a win/win for us as you can mix.
Managed another NSD today and worked out main meal for the next couple of days. Tomorrow is mince, will let the family decide tomorrow if they want HM spag bol, lasagne, shepards pie or mince and dumplings. Thursdays main meal is macaroni cheese (found a jar of Homepride sauce so might as well use it).
Will possibly have to get milk tomorrow, and maybe some potatoes as I have none left. Oh and cheese. All from Iceland for best price. :cool:Slimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb

A quick question for you.... these "Save x amount off your next shop" coupons you get at the till with Mr T, do they accept more than one at a time? I have three running out shortly and could do with putting more than one through at a time.
Thanks xMSE-ing since 20070 -
Hiya Nicki, yes they do at Sainsbury, in my experience, I know as I asked and gave 2 in at once as they were in date but with different dates xx
*edit* oh !!!!!! you were asking about Tesco
Sheeppappar I tend to go at around 7.30 on a Weds evening, or a little bit after or before, I went today for a prescription and ended up with some turkey steaks for £1.24 and some lamb kebabs for about the same, I find if I leave it too late there's little or nothing left and too early, there's an earlier lesser reduction.
There's another aisle that has various bits and bobs in that seems more of a permanent fixture and a rack by the warehouse that always has slightly damaged stuff on, the bakery also has YS and I bought 5 sugared doughnuts for 30p today.
Meg is right in that places and reductions vary, there's a thread called yellow sticker shopping in the shopping section where people discuss timings, iirc.
I remember going to Waitrose at 9.30am and they had some very good reductions on stuff going past its sell by date that day, and in our local Co ops, big and small, 5ish has been a good time, hope some of this waffle may be helpful, good luck.
I know my signature says I've lost the plot but looking at what I've actually spent, I haven't done too bad at all, feel like I'm beating myself up a bit and there's no need. Going for £100 to cover the days we're around next month.
Made my favourite cheap meal tonight, YS prawns in Basics cream cheese sauce with Co op YS garlic bread, Basics pasta and salad, chuffed to bits when my daughter announced she loved how healthy it was and how well I was doing. I can't tell you how much better we are eating since saving money!
I've been getting back into blogging a bit and have been sent freebies which can come off our grocery bill in theory - milkshake, cheese and bottled water!0 -
Well had to pop out for some bread last night ... Got 2 whoopsies loafs (put one in freezer) for 14p each
