Used stuff I already had to make tonight's dinner - Shepherd's Pie with carrots, onion and gravy.
    Lots left for the freezer.

All was going well, I hit I*eland at lunchtime and did really well.
Rang DH before I left work and he needed skimmed milk so I nipped out to the shop to get some and ended up spending another £17.95 but it should keep us in evening meals for the rest of the week if we mealplan.
I have £4 cash in my purse, that is going into work with me tomorrow and the purse is staying at home for the rest of the week.
    4 NSD's in a row - can I do it, you bet I can!

We're taking the kids out for a treat on Saturday - morning coffee in the Sally army - £3 for 4 of us and as many penguins as you can eat , (get lost st*rbucks) then £3 each buy anything you want in the £1/99p shop - 6 year old girlie heaven

Very cheap meal plan for rest of week. All main meals and lunches from stuff we already have, except for more potatoes and some salad needed.

Tues -- just me, beans on toast.
Weds -- Iceland salmon and cod with Jersey potatoes and veg.
Thurs -- YS sausage and mash and veg
Fri -- YS burgers/Aldi hot dogs with hm wedges and salad
Sat beans, cheese reduced fat bacon combo with toast or baked potato or pasta
Sunday YS lamb shoulder, roast dinner

Puddings -- ice cream, tinned fruit, AF angel delight type mix, fresh strawberries, Sains cheesecake (£1) yogurts, fresh fruit

I think my plans are very 1970s! Think I need to liven things up a bit with new stuff in when I get it -- no more processed meat for a while and fewer potatoes :)

I have been following the GC for the last month or so but only by reading all your posts. I only went over budget by a little last month so I am actually quite pleased with myself (lower budget because we were on holiday for part of the month).

Managed a nsd today, fiance wanted me to buy some sodastream coke but I didn't give in, hopefully another nsd tomorrow...

Just wanted to say that you are all so positive it really helps me along and motivates me, so thanks!

Just popping on to update spends as had a Mr A delivery yesterday - now at £66.10 / £175.

    Meal plan is as follows:
    • Sun – roast gammon with roasted carrot, onion and potato, and homemade apple sauce
    • Mon – sweetcorn fritters with spicy potato wedges, salad and yoghurt
    • Tues – vegetable fajitas
    • Wed – out for dinner to celebrate my sister’s graduation
    • Thurs – roasted veg arrabiata with salad
    • Fri – might be having dinner with friends; otherwise Spanish veg & bean stew
    • Sat – vegetarian sushi, miso soup and spicy king prawns

Had roast gammon with green beans, roasted carrot, onion & potato and HM apple sauce yesterday, and sliced up the rest of the gammon and froze for OH's sandwiches at lunch.

Then tonight made sweetcorn fritters for the first time, with (very) spicy wedges, salad and yoghurt - so tasty and OH loved them, so will make again.

I hardly ever eat potatoes so feels a bit strange to have them two nights in a row :rotfl: Made the wraps tonight for veggie fajitas tomorrow, which means a very quick to make dinner tomorrow, as we're redecorating and there's chores for me (:() and then after dinner I think I'm going climbing with a friend, so busy evening.

Sorting out receipts so will update this now with today's shopping. Usually we don't shop until Tuesday or Wednesday, but I have a friend staying from tomorrow until Thursday, so we did it today instead.

£29.96 spent. That also includes some shopping for next week - we stocked up on 24 litres of coke whilst it's still buy one get one free, we normally get 12 litres :o

Anyway, also got cake, doughnuts, cookies, jam tarts, a cinnamon bun, 16 yogurts, crackers, brie, tin foil, a cucumber, spring onions, carrot, apples, beans, spaghetti, sweet potatoes, jacket potatoes, bananas, penne pasta, chicken for sandwiches, turkey for sandwiches, bread, mincemeat (for Christmas, but may as well get whilst it's 20p!), ready made colcannon, a bunch of flowers (a present) and then all the coke. So not a bad price I don't think :D

We only bother with all the cakey bits because we've become friendly with the guy that reduces them, so we get a good deal. We'll need to pick up some milk at some point, but other than that, hoping to last until next Tuesday/Wednesday.
