First birthday deceased parent.

Glad I found this post..it will be my mum's birthdaythis Friday-she died 2nd Jan this year.My daughters asked if I wanted to do anything but I have to work all day and do rehearsals all evening so I have no opportunity anyway.Haven't decided if I have the chance what to do...buy flowers which she loved,release a balloon or what. I don't know what to say or how to act with my Dad that day-I treat him a bit with kid gloves now.Not sure how much to talk about it with him for fear of upsetting him or not talk and upset him more.They should have been married 60 years last week. Am wondering if Mum will send me a robin-silly as it may sound she told me she would and on my birthday in March a robin was sitting watching me when my daughters took me out for the day.

I buy a bunch of flowers on my childs birthday (April 16th) and the anniversary of her death (June 1st).

When I feel the need not to do it anymore i'll stop but until then, i'll carry on.
