Surely if you move back to your parents' house and don't pay an economic rent/board, then it's your parents who're paying off your debts and/or paying for your deposit. Some people might not mind this but it doesn't strike me as something to be particularly proud of!

Erm I dont think anyone said they were proud of their situation, did they

We're all very proud to be dealing with our debts though.

Not sure that was a particularly productive comment to have made oldernotwiser but seeing as your are interested I do pay house keeping to my parents each month. Their principle concern was that food costs were going to increase so that is what I contribute towards.

Living at home isn't a decision that was made lightly and has required adjustment not only for me but for my parents as well. My parents can't afford to assist me with loans for paying off my debts but this is something they were preapred to do to help me.
Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)

I'm 26 and still at home. I am trying to save up to move out but find that house prices are pricing single people without a massive deposit out of the market. I pay my way at home-I pay board and buy my own food.
Mum and dad are happy for me to stay here for as long as I need to but like SS itchy feet are starting. Hopefully it won't be for much longer.

What the hell are you on you crackpot? :undecided

You shouldn't be particularly proud of making assumptions. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it. :)
