Thought of sending the £60 stating that it will pay for any loses and don't contact again. Thoughts

Don't want to go to court over this, had enough, just come out of horrid divorce.

Not sure why people keep missing the sticky thread at the top 'PPC letter chains'? There's your letters to laugh at, in all their glory (look at the pics under Excel):

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2329119

As for VCS (same owner as Excel) if you look at their entry on that link and read the VCS -v- Ibbotson case you'll know why VCS are not the sharpest tools in the box and are hardly going to be planning a repeat of that embarrassment in a hurry!

Finally if you pay you'd be an idiot. Not meaning to be rude but I can't say it clearer than that can I?

The sticky does not open. Thank you for the link. I am not going to pay, the court costs will be less.

I now have a letter from solicitors which outlines the cost to me if it goes to court so £160 pluse £207.25 in costs. wished i'd paid the £60. Friends, family, online forums all said don't pay. I now know I should of appealed.
Best advice i can give some one (that's already here) is to be aware; I'm telling every one i can to be aware of this problem.
Do i keep on ignoring or is there anything i can do now i.e. offer a payment of some kind?

Strange that the sticky does not open for you it works for me, however you are reacting exactly the way their scummy frightening style of letters are designed for.
Don't pay them anything, if you make them an offer they will know they have hooked another sucker and scam you for the maximum they can. That's what con men do isn't it!

  • I've been issued a fine for overstaying my welcome on a Sunday outside Pets at Home in the Falkirk area. On going back I've only just noticed the parking signs advising parking limited to 2 hours, they photographed me arriving and leaving!! I have written to them to appeal and they have completely ignored it and sent another notice and have increased the fee!! I'm really not sure where I stand here. There is no contact number or e-mail address anywhere to speak to them. I'm so angry having spent hundreds of pounds on my visit to the retail park that day. Any advice grateful thank you.

So here we have a few-weeks old thread about an old fake PCN where the person doesn't live in Scotland and they are getting debt collector letters.

Yet you have posted about a new fake PCN in Scotland?! Completely different scenario, normally needing its own thread - but no need I suppose.

Luckily for you, because the advice is to ignore any fake PCN issued in Scotland, you don't actually need to start a new thread as the advice is so simple. DO NOT RESPOND and do not say who was driving. You could have found this out by searching the parking forum for the single keyword 'Scotland' using the 'search this forum' button on the current thread listing!

Anyhoo, in Scotland this is the position:
