Why are some people so sarcastic and nasty on here?

That wasn't the case at all. And that wasn't the only thread I was talking about,I've seen people be quite nasty several times.
I personally wouldn't be so rude. But maybe I do need a thicker skin.

Every community has it's trolls, and some people do seem to 'sleep in the knife draw' a lot. Best to just ignore the sharp edges to peoples advice/comments and look for some actual useful content in their words.
If they do nothing but stick pins in you and offer no useful tips consistently, just skim read their posts just to be sure they don't say something you can use (or skip them all together if they are really 'useless')
That said, for every idiot you find on here you'll find a good handful of nice folks that are a pleasure to natter with0
