Thanks bedsit bob I will so be doing that so far I have raided pound land and brought some tiaras and wands £1 for a pack of four of each, going to use them for gifts for my cousins & friends little girls...and took home some hotel toiletries which we didn't use from the spa trip with the girls, they were from the white company so will make some cute gift sets my sis in law & aunty...result! Also rather than going to the hotel bar we ordered pizza and had some fizz & wine that the girls brought with them, bless them they're being really supportive with my debt busting...I'm really lucky!
so another nsd, I so can't wait for payday so I can pay some money off, it's really more challenging than I had thought not to spend money....need to remember that I'll be debt free by the end of this year if I can just stick to the plan & resist.
Am conscious that I need to buy some cake ingredients for my friends wedding, she's asked for a rum cake so I'm going to bake one & give her a small gift...thinking ill do that payday...will give me something to do to so I won't be shopping....aww a zero insertion fees this weekend so ill be spending the day finding little niknaks to throw on and hopefully clear some space....better get back to it....DFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

So much for nsd, have just had to pay off a parking ticket for parking on the wrong side of the road, so in addition to £12 parking paid I have had a £65 fine :eek:i really wish i read things properly that was an expensive trip to the salon i can tell you, still it was a groupon voucher, but i cannot lie it burns to give extra money to the council..lessoned learned i just have to pay more attention next time.
Down to my final groupons, chinese buffet with the girls so only transport to pay, ill be on the soda & lime too which will ensure it isnt too expensive.
Only other purchase was new bedding, I know it was naughty but the old one really needed the boot, besides i figured if im going to be spending much more time there it might as well look good- £30 expense..so it was cheap bedding at that & matching curtains..bargain:rotfl:
On plus side I am not visiting the hairdresser this month I got a 2for one on relaxer £5 so I will just do it myself, It doesnt look half as good as when my hairdresser does it but at least its a saving of £65 and will cancel out the Parking fine.
Will be taking leftovers into work all week which is a saving & am dying to be paid, going to be spending the afternoon working out exactly how Im going to allocate funds once they arrive:j-
Am hoping to pay at least £800 to my credit card & make the final payment on my loan. Am conscious that my car insurance will be due next month, usually pay off in installments but may be an idea to put it on the creditcard and pay that off as it will be cheaper in the long run, will have to give this some thought..still I have a month to decide:cool:
other than that going to keep trailing MSE & pick up some handy tips...one I liked was puting the amount you saved on a shop in your savings or as a payment & another was no spending for 6months..for the brave
...I truly cant wait to be financially free..Just got to get control:DDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
Amen to that!
On 31st December 2013 I'm going to be debt free too!
At it's worst about 3.5 years ago it was about £5500(!) as a result of stupid student overdraft/being stupid with a CC during my first proper job (only to be made redundant 12 months later and then taking a £400 pay cut and 4 years to get back to the same level)
I've not exactly been the most "disciplined" about clearing it but it's consistently gone down year on year but I want this year to be the last.
I turn 30 in November and sort of feel like I should be buying a house/putting a ring on Mrs Sam_In_Leeds' finger etc etc and more importantly not wasting £200 a month+ on debt!I spent 90% of my money on women, drink and fast cars. The rest I wasted. ...

:wave:Hi sitsafromanothermista & sam_in_leeds:wave:
Thank you for the well wishing, I really appreciate it!! Its always fab to meet people who are in the same boat, have the same goals & to know im being watched (in a non stalker way):rotfl: it really helps me get myself into gear & keep motivated...I hope it works that way for you guys too... Sam I completely understand about the whole lack of disipline I was just hoping it would fix itself if im honest via loto win or that id fall in love & marry someone gorgeous & minted hehe! Alas it falls on me & everything else that happens will be a bonus *eternal optimist*. :rotfl:
I completely get the whole turning 30 thing too I turned about 6months ago, & had the whole i need to sort out my life sorted by now, Still took me a further 6months to actually get started..I call that easing in to the fab thirties!
But honestly if you stick to it you will so be in a position to have everything you want & no less than a month after you turn & that'll feel amazing!! Heres to being financially free!! :beer:DFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Ok so I think just about everything has come out of my account... so I will need to update my signiture. I have had a few no spend days & have managed to put away £180 into savings..I will dip into this in case of emergency or If i have to offset the debt closer to the deadline. I had a wedding at the weekend and that was amazing..didnt manage to stick to lemonades though..darn the table wine...which ultimately led to cocktails & shorts at the non free bar £40 which actually isnt to bad but not very MSE!
On plus side have made progress with my ex on getting my name off our joint mortgage (we split 5yrs ago & his been dragging his paws) but apparently he has applied been accepted & is sending me over the paperwork...feel like the biggest weight has been lifted! Lets just hope he actually does it this time. Its not actually costing me anything but prefer to have it gone as I dont live there, get no benefit from it & would be liable if he defaults...I can almost taste freedom:rotfl:
Im having no problem with NSD's except I cant bare not to have fresh flowers on my desk so I have had a cheeky spend in waitrose (£16 two bunches) for me & my colleague....actually It is a splurge, im thinking perhaps Ill pop to my local asda and bring the flowers in from home- I think i could save a few quid there....its either that or forrage in the park and thats just wrong...tempting but wrong
Have been putting a few ££'s into my jars which feel quite good hoping to keep that up & my lunches are all brought from home also manage to get down to £20 petrol a month, though havent really cycled anywhere either....clinging to the mse wagon...i need to take stock and think of ways i can do things smarter or rather do what i should be doing...ima get there though...this I know xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T
