Afternoon diaryland!!
So have prepped myself ready for this months challenge, notes printed, so I do not break the rules. Made a payment to my natwest card this morning..its toast!!:j:j
Now for the the last one Barclaycard- currently at £5600:eek:, wow its still a whopper looking at it but its going to shrink rapidly these coming few months & disappear into a '0'.
:T:T
According to the rules I need a small spend diary for my bag, I do have an app or two on my phone, but have to confess I hardly use them. You dont get to make notes or specify which account paid from, why, etc.. So Ill spend a few minutes making a little book..well im not about to buy one its spend free day afterall..will kill sometime this afternoon...technically good idea as everyone deserves a mental break- any excuse!!:rotfl:
Have sold a bracelet & 2 dvd's, need another zero insertion fees so I can try again for all the bits that didnt shift.;)
Family birthdays coming up, need to get inventive- will save that for Sunday shopping. Have spoken to my friends re: my birthday celebrations & requested something cheap & cheerful, im thinking sleepover or something...recapturing our youth lol! :rotfl::rotfl:...nothing else to report today!! Hope everyone is well & has a fab evening xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Afternoon Mse world,
Awoke in a very happy & positive mood, despite the grey skies... Opting to being my own sunshine from now on. Attempting SFD #2, was a mad dash this morning to grab lunch- managed spagetti hoops on toast, quick easy, possibly no nutritional value but hey it saved me popping to waitrose & was pretty yummy!
Finally managed to make it to the bank to pay in the left over Rome spends & other lose change, Also recieved my £5 reward, very happy with this. So that meant £84.50 to barclaycard & £11 to Isa (still following the 10% income rule). Had a lovely suprise too, my Isa had £67.03 in the account which Id forgotten, so that was nice. I like to see something grow as much as I love to see my credit card bill evaporate...so that made me smile (some more). Nothing other to report...evening will be spent with my head in books...I really have to knuckle down...eeek!
Hope everyone's having a fun day xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :beer::T

Afternoon Shelbi, sorry I've not been by to cheerlead much recently.
Kat's challenge is a good one this month isn't it, I've been selling a fair few toys etc to local mums so already at about £35 of the £100. Just checked Ebay and a dress that I've relisted several times finally has a bid on it too.
Waiting for my brother to pay me some money he owes me, unfortunately it's all going to top up savings as I needed extra cash for unexpected DS expenses last month. Never mind, better than using credit isn't it?!
Trying for a SFD today but I do need fruit from Aldi and I need to try and get DS some waterproof trousers from Primark if they have any in. Hmmm....
Have a good day xxMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Afternoon lili & all in diaryland!
Aww thats ok, I appreciate you dropping in!! Yup Kats challenge is brilliant, exactly whats needed!
Wow that is brilliant news on the sales, especially the dress... £35 achieved & only 3days in...wicked!! always better to use cash (even savings)over card where possible for sure & your putting it back which is fab...your cushion is growing in the right direction:j:T
Hope you managed to get all you needed hun, trousers, fruit..if its essential expenditure then could that be classed as sfd?! grapping at straws here lol!..but still if thats all you picked up thats mint...It takes alot of restraint to hit primarni & not come out with a few bags!!:rotfl:
Am sitting here eating a less than lively but yummy salad which i prepared yesterday, wishing it was yummy noodles, or anything hot...praying for the rain to bucket down so the call from the shops loses its appeal lol! I quite love rain, esp heavy rain...though it would be brill if it could stop by 5-6 so i can ride home...actually my hairs had it so it wont make much difference & its a nice cool down (vague silver linings) lol!.:D:D
Attempting spend day #3, but have paid donation to foodbank as per NSK rules, im not counting this as a spend its a gift..so sfd still stands lol!
have been listening to some positive stories & heard one that made me smile, was about a women who only had $10 a week to provide for her 2 children. She made a game of it with them, the less you spend the more you win...really uplifted my spirits & made me count my blessings....Seems like a great principle to me, love the positive spin on it.... Hope you have a wonderful day ahead xXxx:beer:DFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Happy Monday MSE world,
Hope everyone had a fab weekend, For me it was nice & quiet...I had a flat tyre on Friday enroute home so had to push the bike back half way, longer but good exercise still, needed to buy a foot pump. My phone died on Saturday, it just wouldnt urn on or hold charge so had to book it in at the shop as its still under warranty (fingers crossed they can fix it & for free without losing any of my data) was told the only appointment they have is 2 weeks away so I brought a phone in the interim- £50 but to me this was a necessity no way can i survive on the basic one they were going to give me. Silver lining is its my sis bday end of the month so once my phone is restored I will be giving this to her as her b'day present. one solution two problems, was very happy with this. Food shop undertaken, spent £41.
Will be heading out tomorrow for dinner with my friends, one of my besties got engaged, best news so couldnt turn down the opportunity to see the rock & hear what happened. I know this breaks my October advance rules but Im choosing to on this occassion, I will be giving myself a strict £20 limit so it will be fine... really cant wait to see them & hear all about it! Exciting times!!
As for me had to get train (flat tyre) but had £7.50 on oyster so didnt need to top up, will haver to tomorrow for dinner as will need to travel to city. Off to bank to pay in £45 which will go straight to my credit card & will be taking £79.00 out of savings to offset the unexpected spends of new phone & dinner tomorrow..
Hope you all have a fun day ahead... Off to grab some (home brought) lunch.. xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Afternoon!!!! Ok so today im in a funny little mood, wont be able to complete another sfd, but did have a few snippets of good news, firstly my bank refunded charges of £111 to my account...very grateful... went straight ont the credit card with another little payment, I think I can class that under making £100 additional income for my October Challenge too, so im happy with that.
Realised im in credit with my rent as I pay a little extra each week so will mean a week off will save that until December though. Just counting the hours now... cannot wait to leave work & see the girls for a much needed giggle & a gossip...hope everyone has a fab night....xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Just been having a read through some diaries &playing around with some figures...have been having a little think too, one of the good things about peace & quiet of night, I get to think. At the moment my final credit cards sits at £5160, I'm hoping to knock that down to £5000 before next payday 25th oct...this leaves me with 3 paycheques before the end of the year:eek: assuming that my iou's do not get paid back before year end debt repayments will need to be £1666.67:cool: for me personally that's a high bar, a big ask & a massive chunk of my salary... So I'm probably going to need to think outside the box.
First stop decrease fd saving account to minimum £25 for the next 3 payments, this will claw back £525;) ...must do that in the morning...
I guess I'll be looking at the budget tomorrow with a fine tooth comb see what else can be done.
I've already cut back on salon trips, travel, nights out, lunch, there's got to be some more.... I don't want to carry this debt with me into the new year..correction I'm not!! I can't!! & I won't!!!...
Why do I always put things off till things get serious...honestly I don't make a shift till things get close to the crunch:o ....on the plus side if I can do £5k in 3months... Then technically I could save £20k in a year...obviously not looking to live on breadline all year but in theory anything is possible...as Audrey Hepburn says the word impossible in itself says "im possible"....
Ok so I maybe getting ahead of myself better start with chopping at the £5160 before building that nest egg up properly...:D
I can do this, I can, I will, I must...
