  • Shelbi I have read your last few posts. As the girlies say about the important things about falling off the bandwagon is getting back on - you are doing SO well so don't beat yourself up. As you have a holibob coming up it's all the more reason to be super good until the 27th ( I won't tell anyone ) and then really and truly enjoy your trip..

I now what you mean about headphones... my first replacement was bought with book returns to amazon - the cat chewed through them. The second pair were a cash purchase as I had no pennies left - the cat chewed through them. I am not on my third pair and have the commone sense to realise her fluffly little head can squeeze into my bag so they are in a drawer when not in use - common sense really...

Keep up the good work... we will get there for sure. No if's, not but's, no maybes - we will win!!!

No this is fun - mightn't be for everyone, is certainly not compulsory and will inject some serious humour I think...:T

    Morning Ladies!!

Hope you all had a fab weekend..& are ready for a frugal & fun September....Im back to being full of beans again...its going to be a tight but fun month (im hoping) only four months left to crush this debt and as its not as low as id like I may need to shift into overdrive..Luckily my birthday next month so ive requested things that actually need, ie- panniers, vouchers or my fav commidity cold hard cash!:rotfl::grin: so Hopefully that will help me get back on track.

So September fresh start, back on the wagon- following September Stepup- im on a dry month (well 27/30 days) & have started taking a few savvy social steps, sposed to be celebrating birthday, have spoken to my sis & its on a Thursday night..(please believe me when i say I am way beyond the age where I can rave on a school night & so into work). So on that basis I will be leaving that one well alone, im sure shell understand, ill do something nice like take her to lunch or cinema...anywho have arranged to meet the girls on that night so I know I wont be hotfooting it to bricklane & egg should common sense fail me;) & have already checked out the menu so i know I can order something yummy yet affordable. All thats left to work out is Christening & house warming (figure I will bake a cake for that & bring a bottle..from which I will not be drinking *scouts honour*.:D

Aww sold two red cord braclets on ebay, £1 each but Im happy I actually have like 40 of these so If I can shift them all thatll be fab, (i brought the whole bag for £3 way back when), bit of additional income. Still waiting on my internet password for FD so I can transfer and then start paying some more debt back.

Its nice to have money in my account but tempting too..fingers crossed it hurries up. Hope everyone is having a really fab day.. HSC cant wait for the update...& anyone else who fancies delurking..we are a friendly bunch honest....happy Monday:D:D xX

Also should add am feeling motivated but feel really disorganised with my money this month (baring in mind I have budgeted) I think its because its sitting in different accounts awaiting dd's to come out, but im not sure if they will be taken from the right accounts...also im longing to make some payments so that the figures can go down...i think im generally impatient..so at least I get to work on that whilst i wait (silver linings lol) :0)

  • morning Shelbi! I have had an extremely busy few days, luckily the budget is still basically intact. Settling nicely into the new place but keep discovering stuff i don't have- for example, a duvet (was just using a blanket) a plastic washing basin. All small things but still adding up! i am also getting slightly nervous because its September now, only four months left to go! I am also feeling quite disorganised- because of the disruption of moving, and some unexpected moving related expenses, i am not as organised as i would hope and money which i expected to have in certain accounts is not there because it has been spent on some moving related expenses instead!

hi nsk, hoc and all in diary land!!

    nsk-thank you...I was so chuffed :0)

Hsc- I know how you feel, but your in the process of paying it all off, don't worry what the accounts show at the minute just keep chipping at it and you'll see it plummet...so glad your all settled in & just think the saving you make by moving will really show in future months :0)

as for me money transferred to fd account and ddi instruction sent also set up the 6% saving account so just gotta wait out the month before I can confidently make payments..daunting that d day only 4 month away...still exciting just gotta give it one last push and batton down the hatches with a lot of nsd's and pulling those purse strings to the maximum.....eeek x

    Afternoon MSE world,

Happy Friday to everyone..its chucking it down outside here but for some strange reason I still have that happy Friday feeling! have completed 4 nsd, today I had to part with money & it burned haha!!

Firstly I trained it to work as am donating blood this afternoon & figured ill be too drained to cycle home, also spent £8.88 for lil sis to see 1d at the cinema, shes been bugging me forever & i thought since im in good deed mode I can take her after work & catch a nap whilst she watches her beloved teenie boppers...noone will notice my snoozing with glasses on, as long as I dont snore:rotfl:.

In other news have paid £300 to my creditcard to cover rent, tis paid weekly so its kind of like a prepayment, that way when I do pay rent each week, its a non spend day as I already paid to my cc.

Also brought food donations in for food bank to be collected, not being lazy promise, we are having a collection anyway as my boss had ingenious idea to use £300 worth of boots gift vouchers (that have been sitting gathering dust in the work safe) to buy essential toiletries to donate to those in need. Now thats alot of showergel, toothpaste, shampoo I can tell you...today we finally finished shopping &gathering so I figured Id just add my food stuff to the pile.. happy days!!:D:D

Nothing else to report...just looking forward to the weekend, gonna try not to spend...hope everyone has a good one ;)
