I wonder if Peter Haswell is aware of the fact that YPES are using the same wording in their FAQ's (including a spelling mistake) as that on his presumably copyrighted website.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Might be nice to send him an email with a link to the website :rotfl:

Thanks for all your comments guys.

I think I may be screwed- I went back to take some pictures today and surprise surprise there are two yellow warning boards there now that by parking there motorist is entering into a contract with them etc. I swear I did not see those boards yesterday. I would remember. There was just one small board on the gate which was white with some writing on it. I am beginning to doubt my own sanity :(

Saw another couple of cars parked there with the tickets on as well. I took the pictures anyway. This will weaken my not sufficient signage/warnings defense I reckon.

What on earth are you talking about? You think this is about signage and that you might need a 'defence', LOL?!

Yet we've told you this is a non-AOS firm who CANNOT follow this up. Obviously there's more to the matter than signage if they suddenly write to you and if you find they are new AOS members. There is NO WAY a new firm like this are going to be compliant even if they are now in the AOS. It's because people are so easily fooled by a few signs and don't question perceived 'authority' that these scammers actually have idiots paying them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How can you be screwed ? They have no means to contact you unless YOU tell them.

My confidence took a little hit when I saw the signs whereas I was convinced there wasn't anything there previously. I dont intend on paying until and if we get to court and they decide against me. May as well go all the way now. Will update and seek advice if I hear anything.

Surely this now needs to be reported to Trading Standards and the DVLA?

And to the people hiring these, they don't exist as a company as far as I can see, so can they do a contract even ??

Happy to do that. Any links or email addresses? Should I report to BPA as well?
