That tomato isn't off, it's just the way it's grown. Not all tomatoes grow perfectly round.

If you're in the shop, picking yourself, you'd not pick that bag ... so it's a shame the pickers are either cr4p at their job, or too rushed to notice/inspect in the same way we would.

But a split/scarred skin is something that's not uncommon.

Definitely green, as in mould. Not green as in just not ripened yet? You should get a refund for the mouldy foods, I'd ask again. There is no excuse for it to be rotten less than 24 hours after.

It was not marked as short shelf life on your delivery docket was it? Is that what they are saying. As you can refuse these items at delivery, as the driver is supposed to tell you.

I wouldn't expect the pickers to examine every piece of fruit or veg in a bag really. Plus, Value ranges are usually stuff that they wouldn't put in the normal priced ranges.

I've had loads of tomatoes like this, as i'm sure have many other posters.

...and eaten them without a second thought. When I think about it they may even have been tastier!

Tomato is a normal tomato. That is what is being commented on. OP may be being fussy?

Yeah, re "other stuff" .... overlooked as pics not provided.

    :)

I bet most people read the top half, clicked the pics .... responded. Nobody ever read the second half :)
