I'm down in Brighton and mines been back up and running for about 30 mins now. I think they were switching on areas in the UK gradually
  • I am in London: I could not connect first thing this morning, and lost the connection for around 30 minutes. Ok now.

We asked Three when it thinks the problem will be fully fixed and whether customers will be reimbursed for paying to use the internet via other means.
How many people to you think might have had such bad withdrawal symptoms from their 24/7/365 continual requirement to access the internet they needed to pop into an internet cafe to stave off the effects of being unable to feed such addiction whilst out & about?

Most of us have an alternative form of accessing the internet, whether it be home broadband or perhaps fortunate enough to be able to access the internet whilst at work. Most libraries offer free internet access too. (although admitedly they are probably not open at about 11pm)

What exactly is a "mobile internet meltdown"?

They had a service outage and now its fixed. Hardly the end of the world.

Mine is still off, whilst more of just an inconvenience for me, there is plenty of people who need mobile access to e-mails, orders, meetings-its not just all about FB

And they usually have alternative ways of accessing the internet, like you appear to have, rather than having to pop into an internet cafe and pay extra. :)

Suddenly the naming of the company makes sense. "Three customers took to twitter to complain..." hardly makes things sound like a big deal does it?

I've heard rumours that the meltdown was actually planned. They took the network down so they can test the up and coming launch of 4G.

It effected myself and my Mrs but it's now running fine.

Do you really think they would bump revenue generating customers off the network to they can conduct 'tests' in the middle of the day in all regions?

They have been upgrading the masts to 4G on a peacemeal basis for the past few months anyway. There is coverage in most of the country now.

It wouldn't surprise me at all.

Funny how they're not saying what caused the outage. If it was a straight forward outage they would have admitted it. I've been on Various mobile forums they're as baffled as I am.
