Only just seen this - but would have loved to have gone again. We went on the previous free one, and enjoyed it (apart from the sea sickness, which, of course is beyond the control of DDFS - more to do with a Force 12 gale. Hope that those who have booked on have a great time.
BTW - the parking is £8, but is in a secure park next to the terminal building.0 -
What ever date you put in it says date can not be booked!0

Hi everyone. We did this trip and returned today and it was fine. We drove past the entrane to the port and arried on down the road to where there is a new housing estate (not on the maps). We parked for free on the street and nipped straight into the passenger entrance via a little entrance right by the roadside, so that saved us parking at £8per day. The boat left and returned on time and we got about 100 mins in Stavanger. The cabins were clean and tidy and the staff were generally ver polite and friendly - mainly norwegan but some English and all the Norwegan had excellent English Language skills. We booked breakfast and dinner and took our own travel kettle and fod for lunch and snacks and late night drinks etc. Dont touch the dinner buffet of you are a veggie as there is nothing to eat - and I really mean nothing. APart from that we had a good time. There isn't heaps to do but we went to the cinema both days, played scrabble and read etc. and although the first night was a ver bad crossing the second was better and we slept like logs. Any questions please ask.0

We've just returned from this trip and had a really nice time.
The ship was far better than we expected. The main public areas were lovely, the sauna(ladies) one of the best I've seen, and our cabin was great. The cabin looked as though it had been refurbished this year, nice new carpets and plenty of room for 2 (it was described as upper deck, deck 4).
We found the dancers in the show very good.
The food in the buffet was excellent particularly if you like fish. We didn't prepay and it worked out approx £21 each for the dinner buffet which we felt was good value.
As we don't live far from the port we found this trip well worth going on.0
