DFDS are offering a free 2 night cruise break to celebrate the arrival of their QUEEN OF SCANDINAVIA ship from Newcastle to Stavanger in Norway.
Sails on a Sunday and returns on a Tuesday.
Dates are 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th June and 1st, 8th July.
Free accomodation is 2 nights onboard ship in Seaways Class Cabin (lower deck).
Leaves Newcastle at 23:00 on the Sunday
Arrives Stavanager at 20:30 on the Monday
Leaves Stavanager at 23:00 on the Monday
Arrives Newcastle at 16:30 on the Tuesday
Only gives from 20:30 until 22:00 in Stavanger, but don't suppose you can really moan about this as the trip is free anyway.
Travel insurance not included. Not sure if they require you to have travel insurance, but they certainly don't insist on you using their's.
Food not included - Meals can be purchased in advance, or on board, or you could even take your own food.
HTH and here's the weblink for anyone who's interested:

for those who booked, can I ask do I need to input the credit card number or is booking confirmed without it as it is £0?
thanks0 -
This is fantastic! Thanks GromitFan. I booked and entered my credit card details anyway, but it didn't say I would be charged anything.0

If you go through Rpoints or Quidco or somewhere like that, you'll earn cashback on any extras that you books (e.g. meals, upgraded cabins, etc.)0

There was a thread on this last time it was on here. A few unhappy customers on it I must say. But if it's free who cares. Not for me though.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Not eating, planning on bringing loaves of bread with me. Still coming up as 86 quid though.0

depends which type of cabin you book....I have just tried it, inside lower deck cabin for 3rd June comes up as £0.000

Before anyone gets too excited at this offer, it's well worth having a look at the reactions of the people who went on the last free cruise this company offered....

That offer was also supposed to be to celebrate the launch of a "new" ship, but it turned out the ship was an old banger with new carpets fitted!
Summary for anyone who can't be bothered to trawl through the thread: extortionate food & drink on board, rude staff, drunken Norwegian passengers, long delays, tiny cabins, compulsory £8 a day to park at the port, and a great deal of sea sickness (although that one was in the middle of winter - rough seas)0
