I'm looking forward to the OMG WHAT DOES THE TSB CARD LOOK LIKE threads that are going to be all over this forum like genital warts in a few months' time.

I know I wonder whether it will on or offline will it be contact less? So many questions will the card design be cool enough to get out my wallet?

Just had my leaflet explaining LTSB split, interesting to read LTSB customers living in Scotland will be able to use BOS branches to service their accounts. Good news, will that mean, customers ,able to obtain mini statements from BOS machines and vice versa, deposit cash, or talk to an advisor? Also, will BOS customers, be able to use LTSB branches to service accounts in England or Wales?

All LLOYDS banking group customers will be able to use each other's cash machines even the new TSB as they will all be members of the LINK system.
Branches - Lloyds will accept Halifax credits on a pre printed credit book but have no access to account information - assuming it works that way too Halifax to Lloyds - don't live anywhere near Scotland so cannot comment about BoS.
After separation TSB will not be able to use Lloyds counters.
  • Hello everyone.
I've found this forum surfing the web and I'm happy to join it, I'm sure I'll get the help I need.
I opened a classic account, with a visa direct debit card, at a Lloyds TSB branch in Edinburgh in October 2012. My branch is becoming part of the new TSB bank, so my account will be moved to TSB as well.

I've read on the new terms and conditions that will take place after August 14th, that they are sending (or they've already sent), a new debit at my address in Edinburgh, where I lived for two months.

The problem is that I'm currently in Italy with my 'old' visa debit card, and I'm moving in Glasgow next week. So, I need to transfer some money to my account and make payments and withdrawals when I'll be there.

Do you know if I can use my 'old' debit card until the 14 August ?

    Many thanks

What is the expiry date of your old card and has your sort code and account number changed in any way?

Is there any reason why the new card could not be redirected to your Glasgow address?

    Thanks for your reply.
The expiry date is in August 2015, and my sort code and account number haven't changed.
My only problem is about using my current debit card immediately when I'll be in Glasgow, until I find accommodation and I can redirect the new card to my Glasgow address.

Could you ask for a new card to be returned to branch?

Will the split invalidate credit agreements?

As far as I am concerned I'll have a credit agreement with a company that no longer exists

No of course not, even if the bank went under the debt would get sold on.
