Moving Costs for the lazy:)

Does anybody know if companies offer a packing only service? I'm happy to either move myself or go the man'n'van option but i'm just too busy to spend every spare waking hour packing for the next few weeks. The idea of somebody coming in and packing everything in a day is very appealing.0

To answer my own question a little, pickfords are estimating £800-£1200 for a packing only service. That sounds ludicrously expensive to me, given that packing is normally only a couple hundred quid on top of a delivery service.
At £1200, I think it might be cheaper just to set fire to our stuff and replace it with new! Its not like you pack beds, sofas, chairs, etc.
Anybody got any cheaper solutions?0 -

I think someone said above that the big movers are more expensive and to go with a local, recommended firm. Probably why the quote was as much as it was for just packing?0
