Quite excited about a London meet up in October - it was so nice to meet some of you girls last weekend.
I'm already excited too! Mentally planning my outfit, but then I'm day dreaming about my Autumn wardrobe daily anywaysI love hearing everyone's accents too, makes you all sound slightly less like me in my head!
Those times sound good to me! Poolie's advice has actually filtered through, and I've got tickets for £20. Get there for 9:45am and leave either 6 or 7pm? Are we offski at 6? I'll be at Kings Cross
Your OH did seem lovely, Birdie! And you should sneak away from the lame wedding, CMD0 -
Birdie I saw something on Facebook earlier about a £5 Disney voucher if you book to see Monsters University at Vue? Oooh thanks for that Shrimpy, I'll have a look!
What a shame you'll miss us CMD, so close yet so far! One day!!!
I'll see you at Kings Cross Tete and Cinny, we should meet at Patisserie Valerie in the 'new' mezzanine bit... order me a croissant while you're waiting for me!
I have no idea what I'll wear, don't know how big I'll be by then, especially after my holiday which will be a fortnight eat fest!Oooh and speaking of my holiday, just got a letter this morning saying that they're renovating all of their standard rooms so we've been upgraded to a suite to apologise for the disruption! Bad news is that one of the a la carte restaurants is closed, but there are 7 others plus the 5 buffet restaurants so I think we'll survive!
Bad holiday news is that the friends we're going with are currently having 'marital difficulties'... after being married a whole 11 months! Not really sure what's going to happen there, they say they're 'seeing how things go' but honestly, when I spoke to the girl she didn't seem too positive. Really hope this is a minor blip and they'll be OK on holiday or it could be really awkward.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Kings cross is good for us, we will be staying only 20 min away. The funny thing is about my brother that he met his current girlfriend off the Internet. He can meet strangers but I'm weird doing the same. Clearly I don't care.
I don't count as Londoners anymore, do I?
And Cinny, I have an accent purely bec English is not my first language.0 -
Hi everyone! Not been around again for a bit as we have been busy moving house.
Hope you had a lovely day yesterday Wendz
Would love to join you at the meet but will be 36 weeks pregnant by then so im fairly sure I wouldnt find walking round London very enjoyable by then :rotfl: and it is also DSs birthday that weekend so no doubt we will be having a party of some sort with lots of family around.
Hope everyone is well!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
How's the new house, Flower?
Shame you can't make it to the meet, would have been lovely to finally meet you!
I booked my tickets on Friday, I'll be at Kings Cross at 9:45 and my train back is at 6pm. The prices confuse me though - I looked around dinner time and tickets were £20. But when I was home and got the card off OH they'd jumped to £28.50 - then this morning (to make sure I hadn't been had) I had a looksie and my trains have gone up to £42.50  I don't understand life!0 -

Just depends how many tickets the train companies release at set prices, all about supply and demand works the same as the airlines these days.0
