Beth I think it means you are so busy
:):)today
Another one here who wishes all the best to Halight and hopes he is soon back here with us again updating us on his twin DDs antics :)Bless him and anyone who is looking forward to surgery.
Today is my DGS Henry's birthday and he is 12 and off back to school.Tonight we will have a celebratory dinner for him and make lots of fuss as its his special day.Mikey had a great time on Saturday for his birthday so we always make sure that the boys all have the same fuss made of them.In a large family its important that each child feels as valued as the rest I think.
DD has today and tomorrow off so I too have a bit of a break from the school run.The weather is bright and sunny here at the moment and forcast to stay that way for a couple of days.I am hoping to have a gentle potter around my garden as DGS Ben is coming this morning to yank up some of the taller weeds at the bottom of the garden.I have my nice new chair to sit in my conservatory with and I am going to measure it up to see if I can make a nice big cushion for the back.
Hope everyone has a good day and the sun continues to shine down on us all for a change
Take care everyone

Morning TTFTM and all,
seems strange to see Halight hasn't started the daily thread. I know he doesn't always but it seems odd that's all. Hoping all goes well today for him.
My weekend was a strange one. Nothing that happened was planned and I found it really hard to wind down last night.
Firstly hubby was working on the Saturday which threw the shopping out. He came back from work Friday quite ill with the heat again. "Didn't you think to take some paracetamol?" I asked. Of course the answer was "no". He's absolutely useless at looking after himself. Instead of going shopping Friday night, at my request, he had a cool shower, two paracetamol drank lots and went to bed with the air con blasting through the bedrooms.
Saturday. Work for hubby. By this time he was feeling better. Then I had the opportunity of having Windows7 installed on my pc. My son had it installed on his, hubby has it installed on his laptop and it made sense that I had it on my pc too so I lost my pc for most of Saturday and Sunday. I'm at the stage now where I am getting the settings as I like them and a bit more faffing around and it will be more user friendly for me.
Sunday was shopping day. Managed to get hubby out of bed, dosed up on paracetamol and drinks. Sunday isn't the best shopping day round here. They hadn't got a lot of the things I went in for and I forgot the toothpaste completely. Must get some today.
Within half an hour of me listing something on eb*y on Sunday, it had sold. That reminds me I need to post it today and transfer the money into my bank account.
My phone has been busy. Kids sending me messages and stuff. Nothing dramatic and that's how I like it. Hubby back at work, son isn't at college till Wednesday and I need to wind down a little bit. I need some space!
Well that's my weekend and all that it entailed. Not particularly busy but unexpected that's all.
Hope you have a good day. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Thinking of Halight today, puts some other worries into perspective doesn't it?
Good Luck for the op Julie and hope work isn't too awful for those who are dreading it. I know that feeling.....
It's lovely to sit and listen to nothing this morning; the neighbours who border the fence at the end of our garden (and it's not a very long garden) had loud music pumping out for hours yesterday. Poor dd was trying to revise for today's exams! Dh and I ended up going to the allotment for a few hours peace it was so bad. It's not something I remember them doing before so let's hope it's not the start of a new habit. All the bbqs round here are bad enough!
All the best to everyone taking exams over the next couple of weeks, dd and her friends have them almost non stop for 10 days but then they'll have a lovely long break.
Thanks to Molly for keeping us updated on Halight.0 -
Morning everyone,
Julie hope that the op goes well.
Thinking of Halight too, thanks TTFTM for keeping us up to date.
Hester hope that today is not too bad.
Molly Hugs for you.
LW glad that your furry friends are keeping you busy.
Well I am back at work and so far it is not too bad. I have been given a lot of development work to do in the lessons that I have gained as the year 11 and year 13 classes have left but at least I can drink lots of tea whilst getting on with it, I am on my second cup already.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Good Morning all,
Thinking of Halight. Also, of all who are anxious at the moment. I remember well the feelings of not wanting to go into work; I gave up work just over two years ago due to ill health and although I miss not having any money of my own, I don't miss the actual work/stress/objectives.
Sorry for not posting yesterday but my fibro has flared up coupled with bad stomach aches. Still haven't got going yet this morning, apart from emptying the dw.
Another sunny day, so will go and put the wm on, and then if my joints allow it I will attempt to tidy the kitchen and do some ironing.
Take care all.

Morning all
I hope all goes well for halight today and that he is back with us soon.
Gorgeous here today , all beds have been stripped and washed and are now on the line, one load of darks in now so all that is left to do is the settee and chair covers tomorrow and that will be three loads on their own
DH has just re-dressed my toes and they are looking ok so that is good.
DS is at college and DH has gone to get some more top soil from wickes, thank goodness I only have to do the raised beds with a full load of top soil once  it is not that cheap, and we will not recoup the money for at least two years. He has bought a compost bin so we at least won't have to fork out for that next year either.
I have planted a row of garlic from a bulb (bought in Aldi super six a couple of weeks ago 49p for 4 cloves so about 12p a bulb 1.5 a clove so if they grow into 8 plants, I will be very happy , if not no matter, MIL says that she has a clump of wild garlic in her garden that I can have.:D
Enjoy the weather everyone, I am off back into the garden:D
I will pop back later to see if there is any news on halight.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
