This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Good morning everyone

Have just read through yesterday's thread and it looks like someone has had news that Halight has his hospital bed and has been admitted. Can someone please pass on my very best wishes to him and his family via Facebook and say I hope he is back with us very soon. Iknow someone will keep us updated here and look forward to reading about his recovery.
Back to work today and had one of those can't sleep as am dreading something nights, so not much sleep and lots of tossing and turning. I know I am not the only one who feels like this today so best wishes to Hester and Moorhen and anyone else who doesn't want to go back to work today.
Long day today so not much OS will be going on. Few ebay listings tonight and one parcel to pack up to post tomorrow. Pork mince with water chestnuts and beanshoots for dinner and weigh in for diet tomorrow morning. I've been good so let's hope it's had some effect.
Better get going so will leave with usual well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day

I will pass on your good wishes x
Good luck with work xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning all,
Lots of gardening done y/day and I did some more painting last night. I'm doing the woodwork in the kitchen. I find the evenings particularly long because DH is away, I get a bit lonely then so I try to keep busy. Only 6 more sleeps until he's home.
I'm having DGD1 and 2 whilst DD2 does her big shop today so will get their play stuff out into the garden and will take them to the park after lunch.
No DW or BM on as there's only my plate and cup to wash and I'm not keen on bread.
I've stripped and remade our bed and washing is drying.
Well folks that's it from me, sorry for the boring post.
Have a good day all.
JACKIO, you're :A thanks for the pm. x0 -

Anything else left over.......:TMorning all,

Morning.
Thank you FB people for updating us on Halight. Lets hope there are no problems with an ITU bed and his op can go ahead. Brave man.
I hope all those dreading work today are ok, and that the anticipation was the worse part.
My boys are back to school today, I'm waiting in for a Next delivery so i can catch up on the housework too. I've ordered lots of dresses as I have a job interview on Friday :j it's a promotion in my own department hopefully. I heavily decluttered my wardrobe last year and realised that I have no appropriate clothes.
Ive also ordered a chest freezer over the weekend. That's coming on Wednesday. I feel so grown up:rotfl: I can't wait to start filling it up. I've been searching for takeaway containers so I can batch cook.
Tonight's dinner will be pizza, salad and a few chips. The boys choice.0 -
Morning everyone
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Bright blue sky, no cloud whatsoever, bit of a breeze and a bit chilly - but I'm sure this will burn off quite quickly and it will warm up. Washing on the line. Plants watered.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Lunch was lovely yesterday, so lunch was roast potatoes, mash, roast chicken, roast loin of pork, cauli/broc cheese, carrots, peas, green beans, yorkshires, and gravy and dessert was a choice of chocolate gateau or apple pie and cream - washed down with a glass or two of chilled chardonnay - everyone happy. Outlaws liked my bathroom too. Did the little job for them they wanted me to do on the computer and they are going to look after boys for us when we need them to in a few weeks.
Was a busy bee yesterday as kitchen needed some attention before I prepped and cooked the lunch as we'd used lots of pans etc on Sat night to cook the dinner, but just emptied the DW and put anything that could go in so didn't take to long. Then cleared up as I prepped and cooked (this is my usual way but had "an assistant" in the kitchen with me on Sat night learning how to cook - namely DS1!). Did several more loads of washing and got it onto the line. Possibly may strip my bed and get in WM before I go to work.
Back to work for me today - no doubt it will be either a manic Monday or quite quiet as people like to get out in the sun - we'll see.
Now researching the area where we are going on holiday - and have started to look at local attractions etc - have a couple of places that are a definite "to do" and they are part of clubcard deals so will be exchanging some vouchers to pay for entrance fees for them. Don't tend to spend the vouchers I always try to exchange them as you get better value.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all,
Glad Halight has his bed:T let's hope everything goes well, keep us posted Molly x
Glorious day here, quite a few bits and bobs to do. First job is to go to the tip. I need to go to the wholesalers for some business supplies and dh has a pricing up to do and quick job.
My son has his Biology exam this morning, fingers crossed for all those doing exams.
Getting anxious about my leg op but know it has to be done, kept me awake most of the night again
Chilli and rice for tea, nothing else really.
Have a good Monday all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
