I agree that you should not regularly flush clay based litter in the toilet, but OKO etc should be fine as long as it is small amounts and you let it dissolve in the bowl before flushing.
As for the cat poop issue....I asked an engineer from Thames Water and he explained (in maybe TOO much detail ) exactly how waste is treated and agreed that it is safe to dispose of cat poop in this way.
It is certainly far more eco-friendly than wrapping it in loads of plastic bags for disposal.0 -

It is very bad to put poo in the loo? Really? Doesn't cat poo break down the same as human poo?
I think it depends on what litter is used, some (e.g. crystals) make the poo really hard, because the litter absorbs the moisture and the poo is really dry and hard. It could cause a blockage0
