Vandals

Op, my OH uses cable grips where the two hooks meet. That secures the basket down tightly and any vandal would have to make a very real effort to get the basket off, he would need scissors or cable cutters.
Hope this helps you.0 -

OP has clearly worked at the basket, hopefully enjoying it, and some pillock indulges himself in mindless vandalism.
Anyway, hanging baskets, as well as nice gardens, make surroundings pleasant for us all.0 -

The value of the item is irrelevant. It's the fact that some people think it's ok to destroy other people's property for a "laugh".
But thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts. Knowing it's happened to someone as thoughtless as your good self makes me feel a lot better.
I quite agree. Quite a few years ago I had plant pots outside my front door. I came back from holiday to find that the flowers had suffered a bit in the sun. However a bit of watering revived them and they looked lovely again. The next day was Mothers day. I opened my front door only to find that someone had stolen the whole pot, flowers intact.0 -
Well that's Karma for you Olias
Be nice.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Any more posts you want to make on something you obviously know very little about?"
Is an actual reaction to my posts, so please don't rely on anything I say.0 -
I must admit Olias, I'd be p***ed off too, if someone did that to my baskets!
I've finally got my little 3 wheeler re-taxed and MoT'd, and have used it for the last few days, and got up this morning to find that someone's snapped the mirror off (it was parked on the drive last night) and opened the window (roof and doors were on, but it cant be securely locked)
I've had a look inside, and it would appear they were after the CD player, but as you can't actually hear anything over about 20mph, they're more than welcome to it :rotfl:
I've not bothered speaking to the police, but I have put it down the back of the house! Why people can't leave other peoples stuff alone is beyond me!
