I can feel the op's pain, a basket is not just like an ornament. Its something they have chosen and grown on the plants for, spent time caring for them and designed the planting, and were looking forward to seeing their design come to flower, hope whoever kicked it around bust their toe and got stains on their trainers from it x

I love the way this has turned to criticise that very 'pleasant' poster.

User name and signature are revealing!

Does he want to live in a pleasant place or one which is wrecked by mindless vandals?

Judging by this persons unhelpful comment and nasty tone I wouldnt be surprised if they trashed peoples properly like this for fun.

Its terrible this happened to you, people today have little to no care about repecting other peoples property.

Thats comment is as bad as mine.... excuse me! after your comment i could understand why someone might trash your basket!

    your clearly lacking a KNOBhead!

seriously there are more important things in life..... as i said before, i had a drunk swing a bin round and round, til he let go through my car window... slightly more expensive to fix than a hanging basket.

You clearly don't get it do you knobhead.

The value of the item is irrelevant. It's the fact that some people think it's ok to destroy other people's property for a "laugh".

But thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts. Knowing it's happened to someone as thoughtless as your good self makes me feel a lot better.

Olias, I swear we could live in the same town.
When I used to live above a shop in the high street it was a regular weekend occurrence to have people ripping the hanging baskets out/off. It was the family shop so I know the work and cost involved.
It may not seem a big deal to some, but "small things" like this inevitably lead to "big things" like windows getting put through.

One morning at about 3am I was woken up by banging. Some drunken A-hole was walking down the town with a piece of wood, smashing each shop window in turn. Which, of course, was setting off all the alarms.

Another time, also woken up by banging, I looked out to see three men in their late thirties, kicking seven bells out of the barriers that had been put up while the street was being repaved.

Obviously unhappy at being woken up, I threw the windows open to shout at them to "shut the hell up"..just as one of them high-kicked the barrier, only to have his other leg also swing out from beneath him, causing his body a horizontal position as he went down like a sack of the proverbial.

Had anyone else taken this injury (which looked like a concussion at best) I'd have been sympathetic. Unfortunately, all I could do was laugh, point, laugh some more, and tell him that he'd just made himself look a complete c***. (the worst c!)

I am not proud of my instinctive reaction, but he did hobble away and I don't expect he'll do it again in a hurry. :)

    :starmod:you're awesome.. act like it:starmod:
